• Responsible for the direct supervision of a team of 21 members across eight departments (Procurement, Store services, Stock management, Logistics, Warehousing, Transportation, IT and LP), overseeing 73 physical stores and 3 e-commerce locations.
• Responsible for executing, planning strategies and budgeting for the operations department - setting seasonal/annual projections on a country level.
• Spearheaded sales strategies that consistently exceeded annual sales budgets for four consecutive years, driving substantial revenue growth in all managed fashion retail stores.
• Developed and adjusted comprehensive sales strategies in response to market trends and consumer behaviors, securing a competitive advantage and sustained revenue growth in a dynamic retail environment.
• Initiated and implemented cutting-edge marketing and promotional strategies that increased customer traffic and conversion rates, substantially boosting sales performance.
• Planning and executing expansion plans (openings/closures), analyzing all the brands stock levels, and implementing the necessary actions accordingly.
• Accountable on the company's P&L. Yearly business plan, presenting optimization strategies across all the functions to maintain expenses and reach set bottom line and come up with innovative ways to increase top line.
Notable achievements include:
Green initiative:
• Rolled out environmental sustainability program in our Kuwait offices that helped in significantly reducing our paper use by digitalizing reports/ recycling internal documents and using environmentally friendly papers.
• Contributed to the decrease in electricity and water consumption by directing the team to install light and lavatory sensors as well as F7 graded disposable AC filters.
• Warehouse optimization:
• Moved our main WH (transfer resulted in 70% saving from previous location in terms of rent)
• Designed the layout of the new location to optimize maximum storage capacity. Procurement department reorganization:
• Identified top suppliers and negotiated better deals in terms of service level leading to a -20% reduction on rates.
• Unified all contracts in terms of general clause and agreement content. Maintenance service level enhancement:
• Negotiated new deal with 3rd party to handle all stores maintenance requests by adding 3 technicians and 1 Supervisor in each mall → Rate reduction of -15% Stores:
• Led the opening process of 26 new stores (Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, Oysho Zara Home, Lefties, Virgin, Kiko, Decathlon, Sunglass Hut, Salsa, Boggi Milano)
