Position: Logistics Assistant - Warehousing

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Logistics Center provides support to the ICRC operations in East, Central and the Horn of Africa. There exists a warehousing department that handles all relief materials including food and non-food items; the warehouse therefore provides the stock management and distribution of the entire region's operations.

Duties Allocated: * Commodity Record keeping
* Parts stock inventory
* Processing field orders.
* Restocking of stores spare parts

Summary of Work Experience
After completing my High School education level in 1988, I was offered temporary employment at a Quantity Surveyor's Firm, George Ngure & Associates. I worked as an Administrative Clerk for three years.

Thereafter, I joined Kabete Technical Institute to further my career in business management this was a three-year course successfully completed at Certificate Level. Immediately after my Course, I was attached to two major co-operative Societies in the country. Utalii and Bima Savings and Credit Co-operative Societies for a period of six months respectively. I later secured employment with Utalii SACCO as an Accounts Assistant. I joined the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in January 1996 as a Logistics Warehousing Clerk where I worked for four years during which I undertook a driving course with a renowned driving school in the country which I completed successfully and I was awarded diploma in driving.

I later worked for Brycole enterprises as a driver in charge of deliveries, from 2004-to 2013


Computer Literate: I'm computer literate, conversant with: MS-SUITE, MS ward, Lotus Excel, AmiPro, Power Point, ICDL among others.
