As Senior consultant to the Government of India in Mott MacDonald India LLC

By John Brown (MANAGER) on 22-02-2014
"I was the Academic Dean at the Universal American School of Dubai during the pre-operational phase and the first year of operation. At that time Rola performed crucial ground work to establish the school and the operating base of the parent company, Education Services Overseas Limited. Her duties including helping to establish the UAS and a sister school in Dubai, Deira International School. Those were difficult days as the three organisations (ESOL, UAS and DIS) were growing rapidly, hiring new employees weekly and procuring the assets needed to accommodate students, teachers and staff members. In addition, ESOL had to provide living quarters for over 100 expatriate employees. During this very busy time Rola demonstrated a high level of commitment to success, often working well after normal quitting time and on weekends. She continuted to demonstrate such commitment after the schools opened when she moved across the road to the new UAS for the founding year. Rola was highly efficient in carrying out her duties. She established policies and procedures for the organisation that did not exist previously. She managed the crucially important process of registering new students, which included aptitude testing and placement of children from many different countries. She also carried out many tasks that were not formally her remit. Rola was a key player in the establishment of UAS and we could not have been successful without her. I recommend her as a valuable asset to any organisation that pursues excellence, especially one dealing with a broad range of people on a daily basis. I am happy to provide further comments about Rola's work if necessary. - John Robert Brown (Ed.D.)"
