Repair, diagnose, troubleshoot, modify and maintain Air Defense System equipment, circuit boards, cables, associated equipment, and power supply generators electrical system. Repair, diagnose, maintain and calibrate all test instruments and power supplies of Test Station or Computerised Diagnostic System. Analyze and modify diagnostic software as required to facilitate test and troubleshooting of failures. Perform functional test and monitor the performance of equipment. Provide technical advice and expertise and supervise other technicians and soldiers maintaining and operating the system. Maintain database and history of equipment brought in for test and repair.
Initiate electrical and electronic materials quantity take-off. Evaluate new Low Current Systems (i.e.: CCTV, FAS, ACS & PABX) designs and proposals. Assist in the submittal and re-submittal of project drawings. Source project materials and initiate preliminary negotiation of materials costs and design offers. Perform costs and technical analysis and submit necessary reports.
Coordinate with site engineers, consultants and supplier about project progress and requirements.
Responsible for the overall operation of the Dubai IFE Service Base including adherence to all Organizational, Regulatory and Quality Assurance requirements. Manage Customer Service function and respond to customer problems and inquiries. Familiar with FAA, JAA, CAA and JAR 145 regulations and Airworthiness Requirements. Supervise daily bench repairs and workshop practices, and maintain workflow schedules. Diagnose complex LRU fault conditions and perform bench repairs when necessary. Responsible for final inspection of repaired units in accordance with Airworthiness Regulations. Manage logistics of spare parts inventory and test equipment calibration. Submit maintenance and status reports to Regional Manager concerning service base operation.
Perform level 1, 2 and 3 repair, modification, adjustment/alignment and provisioning as required to restore IFE Line Replaceable Units to serviceable status. Set-up a working database system for parts and repair records. Perform on-board service, troubleshoot and rectify system faults of In-flight Entertainment Systems. Conduct fundamental training concerning operation, configuration and troubleshooting of In-flight Entertainment Systems to Line and Base Maintenance engineers and mechanics. Provide technical assistance to aircraft engineers and mechanics relating to In-flight Entertainment System.
Service and repair of all JVC brand products and other brand. Provide customer support and installation.
