Key Responsibilities/Job Duties
• Utilization of Demand Planning & Replenishment (DPR) Buying System for Purchasing and Warnings
• Demand Planning & Replenishment system Maintenance, Set Ups, Information Verification (vendor, item on, lead times, etc.), identification of items that are slow moving / dead stock
• Replenishment of Daily Inventories by placing Purchase Orders and Purchase Requisitions to Vendors (internal and external)
• Return to Vendor Coordination (arrangement, paperwork, etc.)
• Purchase Order price discrepancies received - forward information to applicable PSA for correction in system
• Obtain operational efficiencies with regards to pieces per pallet / full pallet percentage.
• Order management efficiencies (optimize order frequency, reduce purchase order amendments).
• Follow up on Unconfirmed purchase orders, on late, no appointment, overdue purchase orders, and carriers
• Logistics - work with Logistics Coordinator on new pick-up coordination, buy patterns for efficiencies, consolidation opportunities
• Advance / Just In Time (JIT) management and submissions for allocations
• New item forecast management, reviews and follow-ups
• Efficient management of on hand inventories, aged inventory, inventory gain/loss and items on hold
• Process penalties for late delivery, no shows for carriers/vendors where applicable.
• Report Review of Daily Planner Information and Inventory Analysis Information
• Database Master management (suspending, approvals, data verification)
• Cross Dock / Intra Company volume request approval

Key Responsibilities/Job Duties
● Coordinate 4 plants in Western Canada production planning to ensure the planned production meets market demands (Manitoba, Alberta, BC)
● Control and coordination on MRR issues, inventory on supplies and packaging to ensure that they are available to meet production needs while continuing to stay within budget
● Meets and exceeds yearly standards set out for fill rates
● Interface with National and Regional planning teams on forecast alignment
● Identify and implement new processes or changes to gain efficiencies/synergies among all plants
● Lead the S&OPs for Senior Management team and prepare the Monthly Performance Review presentations
● Act as a resource to the Plant Managers and DC Managers
● Manage a team of 5 production planners
● Review a semi-annual and annual performance of the employees within the Supply Chain Planning group
● Develop personal development plans and empower team mates to grow within a company to achieve and exceed regional results
Key Achievement/Projects
● Successful validation, adjustment, and execution of Covid-19 Summer 2020 Hots & Hams strategic plan on both strategic planning and regional level with no complaints from the production and planning sides
● Creation of most of the part of strategic planning plan for the West for Summer 2021 including cross-functional work with the plants managers (Edmonton, Winnipeg, Langley), finance, demand planning teams and 3PLs providers to get the most reliable plan for the summer considering all the uncertainties due to Covid-19.
● Successful leading Langley and Winnipeg production facilities through several summer promo campaigns with orders fulfillment rate at 99.45-99.76%
