1. WEIGHT AND BALANCE
Hub Ramp Agent and Senior Ramp Agent must ensure safe, optimal and accurate positioning of
ULDs for outbound flights to facilitate on-time departure of flights by carrying out the following:
ô Obtain shipment information from various sources (e.g. inbound flight manifests, close-out slips,
load plan from FMC, etc) for weight-and-balance planning
ô Print offload and onload control sheets for loading team
ô Inspect weight scale in secondary sort area
ô Provide preliminary aircraft on-load projection to Sort Operations personnel
ô Obtain actual load information from Sort Operations personnel and/or ramp loading team
ô Compute and complete proper weight-and-balance for each aircraft
ô Coordinate with fuel vendor on timing of fueling and flight schedule
ô Obtain fuel information from Aircraft Maintenance
ô Compile and complete all flight related paperwork and manifest
ô Liaise with GOC / FMC for additional space allocation and flight arrangements
ô File and maintain all flight paperwork for designated period
ô Update ULD inventory count in FAMIS
ô Coordinate with maintenance and/or Flight Operations for aircraft-related or crew-related issues
2. AIRCRAFT LOADING AND UNLOADING
Hub Ramp Agent and Senior Ramp Agent must ensure timely and safe loading of ULDs onto the
aircraft by carrying out the following:
ô Obtain aircraft arrival and departure as well as parking information
ô Instruct others (e.g. Handlers) to tie-down oversize and over-hanging shipments onboard aircraft
ô Verify positions and weight of loaded ULDs against final manifest, onload control sheet, and final
weight and balance plan
ô Present final flight manifest to air crew prior to flight take-off
ô Check that document box is on-board prior to flight take-off
ô Assist preparing ramp agents in paperwork filing after flight departure
ô Assist handlers to push/pull ULDs onto/off aircraft, where necessary
ô Check ULD availability and readiness for loading in the ramp area
ô Assist preparing ramp agent on coordination with sort area, crew, and/or maintenance (e.g.
getting the fuel slip)
ô Check and monitor that all security procedures are completed prior to all flight departures
4. SAFETY, SECURITY, QUALITY AND REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
All FedEx employees must:
ô Follow company’s safety and security guidelines to ensure a safe and secure working environment
(e.g. PST and PPE)
ô Ensure all paperwork, reports, and manuals are reviewed and updated in compliance with internal
or ISO audits and/or FAA requirements
ô Comply with all operational policies, procedures, standards and processes in order to fulfill internal
and external quality and ISO compliance.
