Duties and Responsibilities (Firefighting General Knowledge)

Aviation Firefighter
Perform Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting operations, combat fires, and perform fire prevention, safety and emergency medical duties and perform related duties as assigned.

Lead Firefighter

Assist the Sub Officer to direct and guide the shift in the performance of routine and non-routine duties, including emergency operations, exercises, drills, emergency vehicle operation and preparedness activities. accordingly dictate instructions to the crew and perform other related duties as required.
Firefighter

To respond to fire alarms, medical emergencies, hazardous materials, urban rescue and other calls to protect life and property; to participate in fire prevention and training; and to maintain the fire station and firefighting equipment.
Fire Truck Driver Operator

Drive operate fire truck provide sufficient water pressure during firefighting operation.Responsible for the maintenance and operation of assigned apparatus and its equipment. Directly responsible for the safe response of all personnel, apparatus, and equipment to all to fire suppression incidents and other emergencies ensuring the safety of personnel and the public.

Fire and Safety Technician

Checks all fire extinguishers, sprinklers, and fire alarms to ensure they are operating properly. Inspects buildings, grounds, and equipment for violations of safety codes and standards. Provides technical information and recommendations to Departments on how to eliminate fire and safety hazards.
Rope Rescue/Medic Technician

Incident communications. Ensures that medical care at a minimum level of basic life support (BLS) is provided.
Conducts pre-entry briefing with the entry team. and Rigging Team Leader prior to operation.

Confined Space Rescue Technician
Completes daily ICS (Incident Command System) reports. In case of accident, locates the patient, assesses any injuries, packages for extrication, removes patient from the threatening environment and turns over to EMS for medical attention and transport.
Renders first aid and CPR to the level of training.
