Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinates with assigned buyer(s) and to the local and foreign suppliers in expediting the shipments of the ordered materials.
• Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
• Directs warehouse staff to expedite transfer of materials from stock area to production areas.
• Examines material received, verifies parts numbers, and checks discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked parts.
• Compiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas, according to predetermined production schedules and order priorities: Reads production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.Arranged weekly & monthly meeting and as per advised by the department manager & section head.
• Confers with department supervisors to determine overdue material and parts and to inform supervisors of material status.Keep all data updated and well tracked to ensure quality record keeping.
• Records and maintains perpetual inventory of quantity and type of materials and parts received, stocked, and distributed, manually or using computer.Manage air ticket booking as instructed by manager.
• Directs INDUSTRIAL-TRUCK OPERATOR or MATERIAL HANDLER to expedite transfer of materials from stock area to production areas.
• Received, and answers internal and external communications (phone calls, e-mails and correspondents) related to work.
• Maintains confidentiality and security of all data.
