Major Responsibilities:
Planning, coordinating, and executing Dubai Metro Redline Extension Project (R2020) MSN and TDS Sub-systems, while maintaining strict compliance with organisational strategies, objectives, and Thales Chorus 2.0 DDQS engineering processes, collaborating with energetic project teams for design development, implementation, and configuration of new IP/MPLS based Multi-Service Network (MSN) backbone system and new Time Distribution System (TDS) sub-master clocks in the Redline Extension, developing and engaging in the approval process of project design document comprising system detailed design description, hardware design description, testing procedures/reports, IP addressing plan, network topology diagrams, training manual, operation/maintenance documents, and spare parts list, offering technical support to project teams to enhance overall productivity and effectiveness, performing IVV activities using DOORS for the traceability of sub-system design linked to the overall project/user requirements, providing additional services regarding systems engineering role for testing/commissioning and project documentation closure for fiber optic network system, managing interface with other project delivery teams, while providing interface design documentation, technical guidance, qualifying, and incorporating field-derived changes.
Key Accomplishments, I attained during this role:
• Achieved the system design verification and validation outcomes through strategic installation, configuration, and demonstration of the Factory Acceptance Test for MSN in our Project Staging Facility.
• Migrated network traffic from all other legacy MSN to the new IP/MPLS backbone network by designing, implementing, and configuring all new deployed MSN 400+ network node devices.
• Ensured 100% operational and hand-over to RTA operations team through strategic migration of the existing MSN IP-routed Backbone to the new Enterprise IP/MPLS Backbone Network system.
In my position as Lead Senior Design Engineer
Major Responsibilities:
Delivering exceptional performance in developing system design solutions for IP-Centric Integrated Security Systems including the required network infrastructure while focusing on accomplishing targeted goals, managing multiple projects as a Lead Senior Design Engineer from inception to completion, while ensuring delivery of projects within time, scope, and budgetary constraints, performing various tasks comprising engineering deliverables preparation, systems/network design development, cost-effective technical design solutions development, project management, proposals costing structure development, and overall project teams’ performance management, conducting technical meetings and presentations with clients, end-users, and third parties to communicate and clarify interfaces, requests, decisions, recommend solutions, approvals, status, and responses.
Key Accomplishments, I attained during this role:
• Ensured overall proposals were technically and commercially viable by cooperating with the In-country Bids and Proposals team and creating a high-level network design solution.
• Delivered various network infrastructure design solutions of data transport systems using wired and wireless communication networks such as IP/MPLS, LAN/WAN, WLAN, Wireless Mesh Networks, and Packet MW Backhaul Systems.
• Provided services as a part of the Systems Engineering resource pool in the Middle East regional operations involving multi-million-dollar worth of project undertakings and opportunities.
In my position as Design Manager, Lead Engineer, Systems Configuration Manager
Major Responsibilities:
Devising and deploying robust plans for the delivery of innovative Integrated Security and ICT/Telecommunication systems solutions to various clients within GCC and MENA regions in compliance with standard procedures, providing proactive support, leadership, and guidance to cross-functional teams for the development of functional engineering specifications, scope of works, method of statements, material take-off lists/bill of quantities, and detailed design drawings, developing technical bids by coordinating the Bids and Proposals team, collaborating with multiple global technical consultants and equipment vendors to enhance field exposure, offering technical expertise regarding project engineering/commissioning of complete systems as well as recommending appropriate technical solutions, administering overall systems configuration, testing activities, and a team of system engineers/ contractors.
Key Accomplishments, I attained during this role:
• Achieved organizational objectives by developing conceptual designs, preliminary, and detailed design for ICT/Telecom and Integrated Security Systems as well as technical design solutions for Enterprise Campus Network (LAN/WAN), Wireless Communication Systems, Information Security Systems, and state-of-the-art IP-based security systems for various security systems and communication projects.
• Led complex projects delivery and awarded projects implementation by providing leadership to project teams and devising/ executing robust strategies.
• Completed and delivered the project taken from my previous company Dodsal for the Common Cooling Seawater System Phase-II project in Ras Laffan, Qatar.
• Successfully implemented and delivered the Wireless Backhaul Systems for Shell Majnoon Oilfield operations in Iraq
• Attained targeted goals managing detailed design engineering and systems integration.
Successfully attained a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering and to be able to pass the state Board Licensure Examinations in the Philippines' Professional Regulations Commission as a registered Electronics and Communications Engineer.
