Head of Budgeting & Cost Control (July 2012 - Present)
Expansion of previous role, reporting direct to CFO, to drive the implementation of a Cost Control framework and to develop a fit for purpose Project Management Office (PMO) . Co-ordinate the process of developing integrated cost control processes and related reporting across the Organisation. Key areas of focus for the newly expanded team (7) include Drilling, Facilities Infrastructure and Opex.
Highlights
• Led the successful delivery of a project to automate and speed up AFE tracking and approvals
• Co-ordinated the development of an Integrated Capex Reporting structure implemented across the Organisation delivering reporting and resource efficiencies
• Served as part of the project team to deliver a first stage of Dashboard Reporting for Excom.
Management Accounting Manager (Jan 2009 - June 2012)
Led a Dept of 4 responsible for the Budgeting, Forecasting and Group Management Reporting including the provision of monthly key issues to Excom. Financial Performance and KPI updates communicated to wider Leadership team as part of Quarterly Business Reviews.
Responsible for the Capital Administration of Capex Budget ($1.5-$2bn) ensuring Budget is executed in line with approved work program and tracking financial and technical progress.
Manage and coordinate the company wide KPI program, calculating performance metrics.
Highlights
• Development - in conjunction with COO - of KPI program to align Corporate and Opco targets with those set by Shareholder.
• Streamlined Reporting - aligned with KPI's and shareholder requirements developed through a Systems (PM10) implementation
• Development of Rolling forecast process across all areas to encourage forward looking focus.
Finance Manager - Gabon (Aug 2007 - December 2008)
Led a team of 14 staff and 2 Expats in executing the financial management of the Gabon operating company with Production of around 20k bopd. Co-ordinated the monthly internal and Group reporting, local Treasury, Budgeting & Forecasting, Well reconciliations and ensured adherence to local accounting regulations as well as compliance with PSC requirements.

• Drove significant efficiency improvements in local and Corporate Reporting through the successful implementation of Sun/Vision (from Oracle)
• Developed, documented and implemented appropriate and fit for purpose processes and educated team on importance of testing effectiveness.
