Provide front line leadership to a group of assembly personnel to include facilitating the successful completion of OTD for customer aircraft assemblies.
Lead key processes in delivering superior performance in quality and value driven goals. Reviews and analyzes through put, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports and strategizes effective corrective measures.
Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor.
Motivate and train assembly personnel to ensure a safe productive workforce. Set performance goals for subordinates, both the shops and as individuals, and help create and execute action plans associated with those goals. Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, quality, best shop practices, operational procedures, and tool and equipment use and enforce all company policies and procedures.
Promote core value of safety first in addressing any unsafe behaviors, auditing for safety compliance, ensuring all production activities are performed safely, and ensuring all facility safety requirements are in order. Promotes a Zero Injury culture through personal adherence to all company safety policies practices.
Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities based on work priority, quantity and customer needs.
Develop, implement, and monitor continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
Provide leadership for the manufacturing operations, having anywhere from 42-50 employees. Work with the team to ensure overall success including tracking KPI’s for safety, delivery, quality, throughput, costs and cycle time.

Supervise line workload, monitor productivity of operations and set performance goals.
Provide input on workload, scheduling, manpower.
Monitor material flow through production lines and balance personnel to ensure efficient operation.

Perform delegated quality inspections. Develop assembler skills to foster an environment of peer inspection.
Foster an environment of growth, recommend training, conduct training in assembly-related tasks.
Identify error/inconsistencies in production documentation and require documented resolution.
Review production defects and work to prevent reoccurrence
Generate, process, and maintain documents and records according to established policies and procedures.
Document and complete continuous improvement projects to reduce yield detractors, improve process lead times and improve overall efficiency in the work area.
Ability to assemble finished products, assemblies and sub-assemblies
Responsible for the day to day operations of employees for the Gulfstream G-280 Business jet, to ensure the manufacturing of completed ship sets for leading aerospace tier-1 customers.
Apply knowledge of training, fabrication, assembly and installation of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic components for metallic and non-metallic structural fabrication and assembly to the manufacturing and testing processes.

Develops manufacturing concepts and quality strategies and procedures to support business objectives. Develops and integrates customer, vendors and suppliers processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing engineering and quality requirements. Reviews and approves supplier data to ensure manufacturing related requirements are met. Manages team that develops First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements based on AS-9102 and engineering requirements. Investigates and resolves manufacturing related issues on shop floor. Performs producibility assessments for part or product designs. Provides producibility input to design, manufacturing processes and manufacturing technologies to meet cost and schedules while maintaining the highest quality standards. Leads team that develops integrated work statements and sequencing of events to support delivery commitments.
