• I actively manage a portfolio of over 300 clients and ensure that comprehensive and actionable advice is provided to each one of them with regard to their tax filings and clarifications on tax matters.
• By liaising regularly with relevant tax authorities, regulatory bodies and my own staff and subordinates, I ensure my clients are always kept informed and up-to-date on new tax legislations and amendments.
• Working for one of the largest and most prestigious firms in the world, this role has greatly expanded my technical knowledge of accounting and tax while providing me in-depth exposure within the field.
• Preparing financial statements including consolidated accounts
• Computing tax liabilities (Income tax, Value Added Tax, Economic Service Charges, etc...)
• Filling of periodic returns with the Inland Revenue Department
• Analyzing and interpreting financial statements
• Working capital management
• Evaluating, testing and implementing internal control systems
• Preparing and reviewing budgets and forecasted cash flows
• Preparing and maintaining payroll and complying with related statutory obligations
• Reconciliation of accounts (bank reconciliations, investment portfolios, fixed assets, etc....)
• Preparation of MIS reports for the requirements of management
• Handling external and internal audits
