Project : Setting up Wired and Wireless network for US Military.
Client : Raytheon
Job profile :
- Conducted client meetings to understand customer requirements and expectations.
- Conducted Geographical site survey to gather information on physical location of each zone to strategize the network plan.
- Designed & developed individual Network Architecture for each zone with network and wireless parameters.
- Reviewed Wireless devices from Ubiquiti (Rocket M5, Nanobeam) and Unifi (Outdoor Access Point+, Indoor Access Point) and configured them to meet customer requirements.
- Set up centralized controller software which monitors the overall working of the network and controls the traffic.
- Conducted throughput test on the deployed network before going live to check the stability.
- Supervised the technical team in the physical layout of the structure which includes:
• Positioning of the Access points (Rocket M5) on the main transmission tower, Subscriber Units (Nanobeam), Outdoor Access Point and Indoor Access Point at the customer premises.
• Providing power supply from the available infrastructure for the equipment installed.
• Laying out cables for the wired network.
• Checking cable continuity.
• Organizing the cables from end to end by marking them on each end.
Project : Installing Radio Network with IP site connectivity
Client : Kuwait National Guard
Job profile :
- Site surveys done to finalize the positions for the Repeaters (MTR 3000) to give carpet coverage.
- RF Coverage Plots drawn for each of the selected sites to study the nature of the coverage.
- Configured Cisco routers (819) for each of the sites for internet connectivity for the Repeaters.
- Configured Repeaters (MTR 3000) in IP site connectivity mode on the frequencies submitted by the clients.
- Digital Portables (DP 3601, DP 4400, DP 4800) and Digital Mobiles (DM 3601) were configured for the whole fleet as per customer requirement.
- Drive Tests carried to ensure the connectivity from end to end.
- Frequent site visits to upgrade firmware for an efficient radio network.
Project : Designing website and mobile application
Client : Q8 Mobile
Job profile :
- Understanding client requirement and making a rough draft of the flow.
- Making a wireframe using Balsamiq Mockup from the draft and passing it on to the Design Team.
- Making the necessary changes in the flow after the design is submitted to the client.
- Finalizing the flow of application & submitting to the development team.
- Documenting every new requirement from the client and submitting it to the development team.
- Testing and submitting the errors in every new release.
- Submitting a complete review of the app before it goes live.
Project : Private Radio Networks
Client : Kuwait government officials.
Job profile :
- Collecting client requirements from site visits.
- Coordinating with the technical team to set up the structural and electrical infrastructure.
- Configuring Repeater (MTR 3000/ XPR8400), Digital Portables and Digital Mobile included in the Radio network system.
- Conducting drive test in the live environment.
Daily activities:
- Building LAN/WLAN network for clients.
- On call support for clients facing network issues
- Visiting sites to troubleshoot LAN/WLAN problems.
- Raising trouble tickets on behalf of clients and coordinating with subordinates to get the issues resolved.
- Building private Radio networks as well as their support & maintenance.
- Updating latest firmware of Motorola handsets and repeaters.
- RF planning & optimization which includes RF solution Design, CAPEX & OPEX solution for external planning projects using feasibility tools and software like Map Info Professional, Radio Mobile, Google Earth Pro & Site Mapper.
- Developing our own feasibility check simulation tool (Sify Radio Mobile Simulation Tool, SiRS), which defines LOS feasibility check and the other process following it to be more automated and accurate by reducing the dependability on field staff.
- Large Scale RF Coverage Plot Mapping for Feasibility Check done with In-house Tool, Radio Mobile.
- Track, Maintain & Regularize GIS database with constant co-ordination with regional teams all over India, which includes,
• Requirement Collection.
• Designing the data sheet with relevant details of the network.
• Installation of Site Mapper and MapInfo tools
• Importing data to MapInfo after processing the data through site mapper
• Merging the whole data in to Vector Map of India.
• Designing the steps to update the GIS data for day today use.
• Generate Daily Sector Addition & Removal Reports.
