• Reports adverse drug reactions and medication errors in accordance with organization policy.
• Identifies significant changes in patient’s condition, initiates appropriate action and reports to immediate supervisor or physician as appropriate.
• Responsible for documentation and participates in the documentation review process.
• Participates in quality improvement activities of the hospital
• Cares for patient with tracheostomy, gastrostomy, chest tube, and PEG
• Take report on the patient and check all infusions with the outgoing nurse.
• Assessing a patient’s condition and planning and implementing patient care plans
• Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
• Assisting physicians in performing procedures
• Observing and recording patient vital signs
• Ensuring that ventilators, monitors and other types of medical equipment function properly
• Administering intravenous fluids and medications
• Carry out orders and collect samples for laboratory investigations

* Assist Doctor for tooth extrcation.
* Assist Doctor for different kind of tooth filling, and temporary tooth filling.
*Assist the Doctor for suturing and removal of suture.
*Denture preparation.
* Assist the Doctor for root canal treatment.
*Assist the Doctor for scaling and curretage.
*Plans, implement and evaluates care given to patients in an effective and organized manner.
*Provides for the physical, psycological and social needs of the patient and families.
*Acts as a mentor to junior staff assigned in the area.
*Participates in the rehabilitation and discharge planning of patients/families.
*Participates in performance improvement activies within nursing department.
*Maintain confidentiality of patient's records.
*Takes the responsibility for professional clinical practice and is actively involved in updating ang continuing education.
*Manages patient care in Surgical Intensive Care Unit, ensuring good standard of care is provided. SICU, caters post operatively patients having a major surgery cases.
*Performs Auto Transfusion or Blood Transfusions, vital signs monitoring manually and by the use of Cardiac Monitoring, proper administation of IV fluids via IV infusion pump, Nasogastric Tube Feedings, care and output monitoring of drains such as indwelling Foley catheter, JVAC or HEMOVAC, wound care and bedside care.
*Able to operate certain machine, IV infusion pump, feeding pump, PCA or syringe pump, ECG machine and glucometer.
SICU Duties and Responsibilities
• Renders direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Promotes and restores patients’ health by establishing and organizing plan of care in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health team.
• Provide accurate assessment and monitoring of patient progress
• Adjust respiratory equipment depending on patient's conditions
• Manage pharmaceutics doses, ventilator support, and anesthesia
• Give nursing care to critical care patients and note down their progress
• Ensured patients' bed and area are sanitized properly
• Monitored ventilator support and heart monitor
• Ensured all equipment in the ICU ward is in working conditions
• Provides proper education to patients and their families about their condition as well as physical and psychological support.
PACU Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensure patient safety and positioning and checking for level of consciousness.
• Accurate pain assessment.
• Ensure airway management.
• Accurate vital signs monitoring and documentation.
• Accurate therapy or fluid balance and documentation.
• Give accurate information of patient’s stability, clear concise verbal and written reports and criteria for discharge from recovery when transferring to ward.
• Excellent knowledge about medications, medication administration and proper documentation.
• Assessment and documentation of Post-operative complications.
• Proper wound care.
• Extensive knowledge about different policies of the hospital and the organization.
