Working in Saudi Amana Contracting Riyadh branch,
As Sr. Business Development eng, but my actual responsibility is as Business development manager of Riyadh branch and responsible of the followings:
• Secure new sources of viable projects for the company
• Decides with GM on which quotation to focus on.
• Leads organizing technical presentation for the clients, consultants and the market that enhances the company’s image and position in the market.
• Enhances the promotion of Design/Built concept with the consultants and developers.
• Coordinates the scope of all parties involved in tendering process and liaise with clients/consultants during tendering.
• Supports Chief estimator and procurement department in technical and commercial negotiating (and finalizing, if need be) especially with the steel supplier and with suppliers of major items.
• Supports the tender Manager in the scope of work and tender documents to ensure that all work has been quoted accordingly.
• Assists in the negotiations with client/consultant the commercial and technical terms of the tender/contract.
• Assists in the preparation on internal kickoff meeting of the new jobs and ensuring the proper transition of the job to all relevant departments in the company.
• Develops the business development plan, budget and market strategy of the company with the General Manager.
Working in Soroh Al Khair Contracting at Riyadh,
As Business Development & estimation Manager, and responsible of the followings:
1- Secures works for Soroh in new industries & commercial projects to meet strategic objectives.
2- Pre-qualifies Soroh with clients and consultants as needed for its strategic growth .
3- Maintains an accurate picture of the market size and position of the competition .
4- Develops and maintains strong relations in the market with consultants, clients .
5- Responsible for preparing estimates from start of bidding process through bid close-out. Duties include: Specification review, Drawing Review, Coordination and assistance in quantity take-off, pricing all direct and indirect job costs, Soliciting and Scoping subcontractors and suppliers, and close-out of the bid.
6- Review tender "contract conditions'' to define risks and accordingly price and /or quality.
7- Writing proposals & specification and submitting official offers accordingly .
8- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
9- Responsible on the kick off meeting of new jobs and ensuring the proper transition of the job to the operation department .
10- Support procurement manager in negotiation (and finalizing if need be ) with major suppliers and sub-contractors.
11- Support the operation manager in negotiation and finalizing the Variation orders in structure works with the clients.
