Development of the transport master plan
• Identify along with the manager of transport the level of service for transportation
• Determination of number and type of buses required
• Identification of transportation requirements
• Advising on policy and strategic developments, examining business decisions (pricing policy, level of service provision, timetable changes) to assess their impact on client groups
• Identification of additional transport movement requirements (ceremonies, official functions, tours) and development of special operational plans
• Management of the transport requirements and services during the pre-event visits
• Determination of number and type of dedicated and/or pool vehicles required
• Establishment of contract with Transport providers and management of the contracts
• Coordination with transport providers and traffic police for the determination of routes, special dedicated lanes, timings, escorts
• Coordination with venues, accommodation sites, security and transport providers for the determination of car parking and staging areas as well as of the vehicle check points leading to the parking areas
• Development of daily transport schedule and communication among the relevant staff and functional areas
• Coordination with Security Dept. on police escort requirements and vehicle screening procedures
• Provisions for contingencies to cover ‘last minute’ transport solutions
• Development of user friendly transport publications and maps
• Design and production of Vehicle Access Parking Permits and distribution in cooperation with each functional area based on the registered requirements
• Coordination with Marketing Dept. for the determination, design, production and installation of needed road signage, venue transport signage and vehicle signage
• Coordination with Logistics Dept. for the handling of luggage and equipment movement on trucks
