• Provide functional expertise in quality systems and processes.
• Working closely with contractors and sub-contractors quality personnel to ensure the products meet the project requirements.
• Conducting inspections and reviewing relevant project quality records.
• Monitoring Contractor’s quality performance and providing status report to our department head.
• Assist the Project Quality Engineer in ensuring effective implementation of the Project Quality Plan, including overview of Contractor’s activities affecting quality.
• Coordinate with Contractors Quality representative the quality document review and Contractor deliverables.
• Attend pre-inspection meetings, as determined by criticality of activities, when designated by Project Quality Engineer.
• Conduct oversight of Contractors quality programs.
• Assist the Project Quality Engineer in reviewing and assessing the qualifications of Contractor’s key quality personnel prior to approval by Project Manager. This review is intended to ensure an adequate level of expertise and relevant experience of personnel assigned to the project.
• Record and document any and all deviations from project specifications and standards.
• Tasked to perform SMCC walk downs and ensure all remaining works, safety and operational concerns are addressed and complied with the project requirements.

• To ensure a consistent and effective level of quality inspection for all matters related to Civil and Steel Structural works, including liaison with client representatives and subcontractor partner.
• Performing inspection activities in the assigned works according to the applicable specifications.

• Providing inspection advice to project teams including our construction team on QA/QC issues.
• Providing inspection advice, support, and direction to all functional areas on matters related to QA/QC issues.
• Establishing and supporting proactive and collaborative working relationships with client’s QC inspectors.
• Ensuring subcontractor’s construction activities are performed in accordance with the approved specifications, plans and procedures.
• Ensuring relevant, up-to-date codes, standards, specifications, drawings and contract documents are available for inspection / review of subcontractors / vendor documents.
• Ensuring deficiencies are identified and resolved.
• Assisting QC Engineer for the implementation, maintenance and improvement of project QC activities.
• Reviewing subcontractors and vendors QC documentation (ITP, QCP, MDR etc.).
• Carrying out QC inspection activities per ITP’s (receiving, in-process and final stages), Construction Quality Surveillance, and site investigation (when required).
• Reporting on a daily basis the QC activities as well as any issues and areas of concern.
• Any other related works as instructed by QC Engineer or QC Coordinator.
• Implementing and maintaining a Quality Assurance System in compliance with Project Specification and Project Quality Policy.
• Orienting / informing the client inspection team on the specification requirements, fabrication Inspection and Test Plan and correlate the inspection activities required throughout the construction period.
• Ensuring that only the latest construction procedures, ITPs, construction drawings and any other applicable and relevant construction documents are being issued and used by construction teams.
• Monitoring work activities in accordance with the approved Inspection Test Plan and procedures.
• Raising non-conformance report, corrective action report, and preventative action report if work being carried out did not comply with the quality requirements and procedures.
• Assisting the Lead Inspector or the QA/QC Engineer in carrying out internal audit together with appropriate technical personnel who shall review all findings with relevant departmental management and subsequently review proposed corrective and preventative actions to establish their acceptability and closing out concern raised.
• Checking and reviewing procedures that may directly affect the quality of the product as listed of this plan.
• Reviewing compiled packages or documents before presenting for final handover to the client.
• Representing the whole QC team in meetings with external and internal clients and suggest systems to improve customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining drawings and specifications provided by the client to their most up to date revisions and provide it to the concern supervisors and take back the superseded drawings from them.
• Ensuring that all quality tools and equipment to be used at site are all calibrated and certificates are intact.
• Arranging field testing after discussion and instruction of all concern personnel.
• Issuing notice to client for field inspection/tests.
• Making inclusive listing and schedule of all QC testing to be accomplished in the work site.
• Filling of inspection test reports and bringing it during inspections for client’s review and signing off.
