Corporate actions & Business Analysis
•Analysis and interpretation of corporate action events from the company’s annual filings and prepare reports on the major events such as Mergers/Acquisitions, Divestiture, Spin-off, De-merger, business deals, etc., and giving a level of significance to these reports.
•Track and analyze US markets (companies listed on NASDAQ, NYSE, OTC etc.), and Canadian markets (TSX), and report to the clients, ranging from investment bankers, investment managers, corporation etc., with significance to the corporate action events.
•Updating Thomson Reuters Business Classification (TRBC) which is designed to keep the track of the primary business engaged by the company. TRBC is market-oriented and aims to track the co-relationship between certain stocks and index.
•Segmental analysis of financial reports on quarterly/half yearly and annual basis and interpretation of the company’s financial status to arrive at the industry classification and major deals.
•Conducting market research to analyze various industries/sectors based on the company’s primary business and segments.
•Handling client queries with regards to Industry classification and queries related to corporate actions (Mergers & acquisitions, Restructuring, spinoffs and takeovers) and providing timely resolution in Service Cloud (CRM tool).
•Tracking of name changes and business changes, as well as bankruptcy filed by the public companies from Reuters Knowledge, Factiva, stock exchanges and announcements.
•Providing daily updates and reports on various Deals, Mergers & Acquisitions, divesture and ensuring that it reflects on products such as Thomson Reuters Knowledge Database (TRKD) Thomson One, Reuters Knowledge and Eikon
•Peer analysis of a company based on TRBC assigned to the Company and revenue generated by other peers.
•Preparing timeliness, completeness Reports and Metrics Report on weekly basis, Monthly basis.
Financial Data Analysis
•Financial analysis of annual and quarterly reports/filings from various sources to gather fundamental financial information.
•Analyzing the financial statements of the listed companies such as Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow.
•Extract calculated and system automated financial data from the available information.
•Update all the derived as well as researched financial data and related information in an internal tool called Doplus.
•Presenting the financial information in a simplified manner so that clients can access to the relevant information.
Client Support
•Accessing Service cloud tool on a daily basis, check all the fields and examine the query (client queries) raised and response provided by the analysts.
•Interacting regularly and extensively with clients, Internal Production team, and across the region.
•Resolving client queries and providing response on a real time basis in Service cloud.
•Communicate the client highlighting actions taken to resolve queries raised.
•Research, analyze and rectify the errors made at the time of data entry.
•Find out the root cause by analyzing the data and interacting with the data entry analysts.
