Purpose of Role:
Maintain and support the existing ITCSS; install / deploy upgrades, enhancements and new ITCSS;

Implement assigned projects

This is a hands-on role and involves travel to other ROW locations for backup, support and project assignments.

Mobile phone devices / services: Nokia, i-Mate, Blackberry; GPRS, ADSL; SDSL; E1; VSAT
Video Conferencing, Projectors
Hosted services / systems: Google Apps/ Microsoft O365. Intranet. Internet services
Help Desk (ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus)

Responsibilities include administration, maintenance and troubleshooting of Windows NT 4.0 Multi Server Token Ring Local Area Network with the following setup:-
Windows NT single domain model which includes primary domain controller and backup domain controllers with 100+ Windows workstations.
MS Exchange Server for providing in-house and internet Email services . Internet Mail Connector used for SMTP mail.
Checkpoint Firewall Server 4.1 for secured network environment.
Internet Information Server for Web services - Internet & Intranet hosting
Norton Antivirus for Firewalls implemented in conjunction with Checkpoint Firewall using Content Vectoring Protocol (CVP) for filtering inbound and outbound SMTP traffic.

Trendmicro Neatsuite corporate edition

Technical support to end-users through a fully functional Helpdesk system; Network expansion and upgrades; evaluation and implementation of hardware and software solutions; maintaining scheduled data backups; scheduled preventive maintenance; Hardware and Software upgrades; writing & implementing security policies; develop and conduct appropriate end-user training; implementing software applications; troubleshooting of Printers, Plotters, Scanners & Serial devices..
Designed and implemented Windows NT LAN (Ethernet) with 30+ users for a site office and shared resource access given to users. Installed and configured Windows NT Remote access services (RAS) to establish connectivity with head office Local Area Network for data access.
Developed & hosted Company’s Internet website with the objective of advertising company’s business and activities to increase revenue. Designed and implemented internal Web Server (Intranet) and published company’s standard procedure and policies using Microsoft Frontpage2000.
Techinical support for non-IT equipments such as Auto-Clad welding machine, Corrosion Monitoring System, IRIS Machine, FTIR, AC/ DC Motor drives, etc

Responsibilities includes Testing, Installation, Calibration and Repairing of the following Systems:-
Communication equipments such as HF/SSB radios, VHF radios, Telex Machines, Telex Over Radios, Satellite communication equipments.
Navigational equipments such as Gyro Compass, Echo Sounders, Marine Radars, Satellite Navigator, Doppler Speed Logs and Watchkeeping Receivers, Global Positioning system, Navtex Receivers.
Industrial Electronics for Onshore and Offshore such as Computerised Jacking systems, Pipelaying Equipments (Tensioner Machines SAS), Winch Loadcells and foot counters, Load Monitoring Systems, Industrial process control and automation equipment for pipe cutting (Vernon) and Servo Control equipments.
General Electronics such as all types of Automatic Voltage Regulators, AC and DC Stabilised power supplies, Automatic Welding Machines, Fire Alarm Systems, Infrared Detectors, Flow Analyzer .
PLC based automation system and machinery in Fusion Bond Epoxy plant.
Troubleshooting Hardware and Software problems at Network & Desktop level which included Servers, Workstations, LaserJet, Inkjet and Dot Matrix Printers, Scanners, Modem communications and Fax machines.
