Project description: As part of the Doha Port Project designed in vision of 2022 FIFA world cup, the Grand Cruise Terminal function is a homeport to cater for two mega ships, 6, 000 passengers per ship, simultaneously. The total built-up area is around 24, 000 m2. In addition, passengers using the Doha Grand Terminal facility will experience a trip through a large Aquarium (fish tank) discovering local fish types, and a City Gallery which introduces them to miniature models of main landmarks in Doha.
As a Lead Electrical engineer responsible for the design of Power Distribution, and power supply for the terminal including 2 No 11kV/415 V substations within the facility total of 8 MW capacity and associated Diesel Generators. The design includes Internal and external lighting design, power supply distribution, Fire alarm systems, lightening protection and earthing system design, etc,
