1. Use hair care tools and equipment safely and effectively to avoid accidents.
2. Monitor inventory level of hair care supplies and report any shortages in a timely manner.
3. Provide hair care services including shampooing, cutting, coloring and styling.
4. Analyze facial features and recommend appropriate hair styles to customers.
5. Perform hair shaping, curling, straightening, trimming, bleaching, dyeing and tinting services as requested.
6. Perform hair treatments including conditioning and scalping.
7. Provide quality customer services and maintain high standard of professionalism
8. Follow safety, sanitation and healthy standards.
9. Adhere to salon policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
10. Stay abreast with latest development in hair styling and fashion industry.
11. Assist junior stylists in their job duties when needed.
12. Advice customers on home care tips for hair.
13. Maintain the workstation clean, safe and organized.
14. Clean and sterilize hair care tools regularly.
15. Report unsafe circumstances and inappropriate customer behaviors to Manager immediately.
• Determine clients’ individual requirements by conferring with them in detail
• Provide information to clients regarding the type of hair style and treatment suitable for them
• Cut or trim hair using clippers and scissors
• Provide bleaching, coloring, waving and straightening services
• Perform blow-dry services
• Shave and trim moustaches and beards
• Shape, cut, adjust and curl wigs as required by clients
• Operate cash registers
• Perform limited reception duties
• Sell salon or barber shop’s retail products
• Provide advice to clients regarding hair products and care
• Provide appropriate post-cutting guidelines
• Ensure appropriate cleanliness of work areas
• Maintain and sanitize hair cutting tools and salon instruments
• Provide facials and manicures
• Manage hair oiling and massage services
• Provide demonstrations to trainees
• Train newly hired hair stylists in a proactive manner

11. Resolving guest complaints or issues.
12. Managing and forecasting retail stock levels.
13. Organising promotion and marketing campaigns.
14 . Ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness within the salon.
15. Identifying staff training requirements.
16. Analysing weekly and monthly sales figures.
17. Controlling salon expenses.
