Creation of adopted Policy and Strategy measures securing improvements to both organisational and Borough wide environmental improvement in the fields of air quality, energy efficiency, transportation, waste and water. Environmental audit and compliance assurance including, National Carbon Reduction Efficiencies, EMAS and writing of content for the UK wide Environmental Management data base ELUAS.
Creating environmental specifications for new builds and buildings and major refurbishments. The development and management of procurements including Photo Voltaics, thermal efficiencies measures etc. Securing bids for National and Regional funding, with £ millions a value to the Local Authority.
Production of Case Studies and shared learning resources, consultee for National Government, collaborative work with Forum for the Future placements and the Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford.
Oversight and Scrutiny of; Environment and Sustainability, Land Use Planning and Transport, Emergency Response, Resourcing and Procurement. Research and Published findings leading to implimentaion of changed policies for Energy, Waste Management, Street lighting, the adoption of an Environmental Managent System etc
Worked as part of the Civil Contingencies Emergency Flood Response Team from 2000. Produced the Independent Flood Scrutiny Panel Report 2004.
