• Ensure that project is executed in compliance with HSE management plan, HSE management procedure and any other HSE requirements.
• Responsible in advising project management on the proper implementation of the Loss Prevention Program (LPP) or Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Program.
• Report to appropriate authority of any concern, deviation and hazards which have been discovered, recognized and evaluated and which may adversely or negatively affect company operation.
• Coordinate with the client’s safety representative on matters necessary for the proper implementation of the LPP/HSE Program.
• Facilitate in ensuring full compliance to all applicable codes and standards, as well as guidelines set by the LPP/HSE Plan for a particular worksite or project site.
• Set as an example to in the compliance and performance of the LPP/HSE Program.
• Advise and facilitate obligations from the client safety supervisor in corrective actions and measures necessary to carry out the proper implementation of the LPP/HSE Program to its fullest intent.
• Provide guidance, advice and assistance to site superiors in the implementation of the LPP/HSE Program.
• Facilitate in ensuring that habitual safety violators are reported and given the appropriate disciplinary actions by the concerned department, in accordance with approved company and worksite rules and regulations and disciplinary action procedure.
• Maintain relative HSE statistical files, data, and published HSE literatures, promotions and information necessary for the implementation of the LPP/HSE Program.
• Carry out regular and frequent HSE inspections and audits in addition to official inspections required by clients to particular assigned worksite.
• Bring to the management attention all evaluated defects and deficiencies to the conformance of the LPP/HSE Program in order to facilitate resolution and subsequent HSE compliance.
• Conduct, participate and/or report in job safety meetings such as toolbox meeting as and contractor progress meetings, etc.
• Share knowledge and experiences as a tool for educating company personnel as well as learn from experience personnel.
• Coordinate and conduct safety trainings in accordance with the Loss Prevention Program/HSE Program of the project and clients requirements.
• Coordinate and conduct first aid, fire, medical and other HSE related rescue operations and facilitate efficient execution of Emergency Response.
• Investigate all accidents, injuries, fires, property damage and other safety related incidents, issues, or disseminates required reports and ensures that recommended preventive measures are carried out.
• Evaluate the necessity of acquiring safety equipment and facilitate in ensuring equipment meet applicable standards during procurement.
• Check/advise proper usage and maintenance of HSE related protective equipment and evaluate effectiveness to
particular task or activity.
• Encourage all personnel to perform safety consciousness during safety toolbox meetings and to suggest ways of improving safety as well as preventing loss and damage to equipment and materials.
• Facilitate in ensuring that any equipment on site is suitable and provided with necessary valid certificate and to draw management attention to any defect or deficiency.
• Keep abreast with new laws, directives and standards and other development in the field of safety, health and environment.
• Perform all other functions and responsibilities relative to HSE which may be assigned intermittently by the safety manager.
• Responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to assure personnel safety.
• Conduct regular site inspections, recording all violations, noting what remediation needs to occur to keep the project moving forward safely.
• Inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment.
• Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
• Promotes safe practices at the job site.
• Enforces safety guidelines.
• Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
• Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.
• Reports to concerned authorities as requested or mandated by regulations.
• Conducts job hazard analyses.
• Establishes safety standards and policies as needed.
• Performs emergency response drills.
• Watches out for the safety of all workers and works to protect them from entering hazardous situations.
• Responds to employees’ safety concerns.
• Understand the control measure/precautions and follow ASI instruction mentioned in PTSW and safety certificate.

• Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management
• Conducts activities that promotes security and administer safety trainings.
• Conducts routine inspection of the vessels’ safety condition and institutes immediate corrective action on any observed unsafe condition in coordination with the operating departments and Owner’s Representative.
• Monitors and inspects ongoing activities on-board vessels such fire safety and environmental equipment and facilities for serviceability and compliance.
• Implements Company’s Safety Rules and Regulations on board vessels and in-yard installation in coordination with the different operating groups.
• Instructs and oversee the activities of workers related to elimination of hazards at work area and coordinate various safety-related activities to operating units.
• Maintains the Company’s safety equipment such as fire hoses / reels, hydrants and associated piping, spill booms, fire axes, sand boxes, fire buckets and portable fire extinguishers.
• Installs firefighting equipment such as fire hoses, fire extinguishers, etc. On board vessels and ensures that fire hoses are pressurized and maintained during the period of repair.
• Independently responds as required to emergency situations involving hazardous materials, radiation, fire/smoke incidents, vehicle and other accidents, as pertains to fire and/or safety; determines cause, prepares comprehensive reports of finding and submits recommendations.
• Utilizes a variety of monitoring, sampling and analytical equipment and instruments to gather and check safety conditions of vessels especially in enclosed areas.
• Assist with testing, repair and maintenance of a variety of safety equipment including monitoring, sampling and analytical equipment and instruments.
• Performs other relevant duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

• Ensuring Workers are provided with suitable protective equipment, such as eye goggles, ear protectors or
appropriate types of gloves and clothing.
• Coordinate with the other operating groups in establishing actions to identify, control, and eliminate hazards in
the workplace.
• Facilitate implementation of company’s safety rules and regulation in coordination with other operating groups.
• Participate in monthly meetings when required to report on relevant health & safety matters.
• Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health.
• Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly
reviewed, updated and communicated.
• Ensure the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work,
including statutory training and reporting.
• Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
• Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
• Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections,
risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
