• Managing shipments to Australia and New Zealand from US, Canada and European Union countries.
• Directly responsible for all aspects of supply chain activities in Australia and New Zealand.
• Managing freight rates from shipping companies.
• Managing third party cold stores and company owned cold stores in Australia and New Zealand.
• Responsible for demand and supply chain management.
• Monitor supply chain performance measurement systems and maintain metrics, process documentation, customer service, training and audit reports and implement customer specific requirements to supply chain needs.
• Managing service contracts from transport companies, freight forwarders, and cold stores in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and USA.
• Liaising with suppliers, service providers, AQIS and MPI New Zealand.
• Managing the inventory in Australia and New Zealand.
• Managing the contracts as per the contractual terms and conditions
• Overseeing the customer service levels are always maintained as per company policy.
• Conducting annual performance review of Logistics department staff.
• Ensure compliance with corporate plans, procedures and standards.
• Develop and conduct training programs.
• Periodically checking and updating logistics procedures.
• Streamlining the information flow between management and external stake holders.
• Setting and managing Logistics budget for Australia and New Zealand markets to reduce overall costs and improve service delivery to the customers.
• Act as a key liaison and maintain effective communication between operators. Technical, Commercial, Marketing and supply chain teams to effectively implement and execute business activities.
• Liaising with shipping companies, transport companies, freight forwarders and AQIS
• Negotiating freight rates with shipping companies, freight forwarders and various packers.
• Forecasting the requirement and making the container bookings through different shipping companies and freight forwarders.
• Maintaining inventory and updating the inventory levels to the international traders.
• Sending shipping instruction using OZDOCS to various packers and organizing containers on time.
• Making sure containers are returned to port with the specified free time from shipping lines.
• Organizing import permits from overseas clients and sending to packers.
• Processing EDN.
• Sending shipment advice to the overseas clients.
• Ensuring the shipment documents are getting on time from various packers.
• Preparing the trade contracts using OZDOCS
• Providing freight rates to traders for fixing the commodity prices.
• Reconciliation of export sales contracts
• Arranging the packing materials according to the clients needs.
• Confirming the shipments are going from the packer’s site as scheduled
• Confirming the shipments are going as per the sales contract shipment period.
• Lodging PRA’ electronically using “ONE STOP”.
• Maintaining the trade contracts and foreign exchange bookings.
• Checking and approving the invoices from packers and shipping companies.
