• Prepare Technical Solution to support external customers.
• Proposing optimized transmission solution for internal and external customers.
• To work closely with Vendor (Huawei and NEC etc) Marketing team to prepare the BOQs for solutions
• Negotiation with the Vendor for cost optimization
• Preparation of solution presentation, word document and detailed costing excel sheets
• Preparation of Quarterly and annual Transmission budgets.
• Delivery of presentation to higher management and OT for budget approval
• 5 - 10 years Transmission Business planning and strategy development
• Leading of Transmission planning to deliver the projects in forecasted timeline
• Supervise the monitoring & FLM procedures of BSS (ALU, Motorola & Huawei), TXN (Lucent ATM, Huawei Optical, Tellabs DXX, NEC Microwave), IN & VAS, Core (Huawei, STP, Alcatel, Siemens & NSN) and ensure all alarms are report on time as per agreed SLAs during particular shift.
• Involved in getting all entities integrated to the new OSS solution including those which were integrated to TEMIP earlier
• Prepare network performance reports and highlight the key issues to concern departments and management.
• Follow up with Level-I & II teams for resolution of issues within agreed SLAs.
• Escalation and notification of critical issues to Management.
• Interface with Customer Service department for highlighting critical issues.
• Manage rotation of team member within NOC Supervision in different domains to motivate them and can have proper resource utilization.
• Maintain & update Standard Operating Procedures for all domains.
• Involved in evaluation of team performance during mid and end year appraisals.
Vendor: Motorola, Alcatel, Huawei & DW(Microwave)
• Ensure Level-II RAN support in order to have minimum down time in the network.
• Supervision and monitoring of WiMAX QOS & RF parameters by using optimization tool.
• Supervision and troubleshooting of DragonWave Microwave network used in RAN
• To ensure the reporting and handling of network wide alarms in accordance with time lines specified and escalation of issues as per standard Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to higher management. Manage supervision of core network of WiMAX network which includes Switches, DHCP, DNS and AAA.Handling of customer complaints.
• Co ordination with vendor for resolution of third level issues.
• Supervise team for operation of fault management of WiMAX BS network.
• Prepare Weekly Roster in order to maintain 24x7 shift schedule for team members.
• Involved in evaluation of team performance during mid and end year appraisals.
Vendor: Alcatel, Huawei & NEC
• Managing team for 24/7 monitoring and troubleshooting of Nationwide GPRS network, ATM Network and Optical Network.
• Error free implementation of different work orders like GPRS, ATM and Optical
• Co ordination with vendor for resolution of second level issues. .
• Audit Report of Nationwide GPRS Network, Nationwide Optical Network and ATM Network depicting details of system inventory.
• Troubleshooting of Quality of Service issues like No-Audio, Distortion etc in co ordination with OCN team.
• Handling operational issues related to Tellabs DXX, Synchview, PNMS (Microwave Network).
Vendor: Motorola & Alcatel.
• Database creation of BTS sites and BSCs.
• Managing the OMLs (Operations and Maintenance Link) connectivity of the BSCs and RXCDRs for Motorola BSS
• Maintains the OPL (Optimization Link) connectivity of Nationwide Network elements which is used by Motorola for optimization of the BSS network.
• Error free implementation of nationwide work orders of BTS/Cell level parametric changes from Cell Planning and Optimization, Ater equipages work orders from BSS Planning etc.
• Involved in major night activities like BSC re parenting, BSC cutovers, PCU commissioning, site re parenting, AFP implementation and software upgrade activities.
• Worked with National Engineers (NE) Lahore as an Executive Engineer. I was responsible in assisting different projects of telecommunication for the different customers like LCWU, Warid Telecom, Habib Rafiq DSL Provider, Mobilink, PTCL, etc.
• I was also conducting trainings to the professionals of different formations like PTCL, NTC, etc. in various Telecommunication fields like DXX, xDSL, GSM, etc. I am assisting students coming from different universities like UET, UMT, GC, etc. in the execution of their final year projects.
• I have been associated part-time with NETS Lahore as an Internee/Trainee Engineer during my studies. I have been involved in different projects related to Telecommunications and in-house testing. I have been conducting theoretical and practical trainings to the students coming from different universities.
• Completed a four (4) weeks Internship in Nortel Communications that is providing the complete turn-key solutions to the Ufone Mobile Communications. Here I worked particularly in their BSS (Base Switching System) domain having a practical exposure in the Hazard Detector BTS (Base Transceiver System).
