• Receiving of pre-alerts and distributing to clearing agents
• Clearance of shipments (Import & Export)
• Following up with banks and clearing agent on timely getting PO and releasing the shipments

• Purchase activities such as Preparation of RFQs / Evaluation of offers / Activating, organizing MPT / Negotiations / Preparing RFS document for PO approval / Follow ups, facilitation & tracking.
• Reviewing requisitions, analyzing specifications, investigating suppliers, analyzing supplier capabilities, studying costs and prices, analyzing bids, negotiating & selecting suppliers.
• Core activities in this area include economic, industry, and supply market analysis; Life cycle costing analysis.
• Ensure 100% SOA and internal audit compliance
• Savings (negotiations based or cost based) in the total cost of ownership model for any purchase.
• Develop effective & reliable sources of supply, Identify new vendors, develop potential vendors
Rationalize the supplier base of the business to ascertain competitive and fair prices for all procurements
• Development & Maintenance of Contracts & frame agreements vis a vis organizational requirements & internal customers satisfaction
• To review, analyze, plan and source Machinery, equipment, materials, specialised vehicles, accessories, spares, chemicals and consumables for foreign according to required standards and specifications.
• To prepare (putting Commercial terms & conditions) Bids, Tender Documents & Contracts. To call quotations, bids, tenders from right source.
• Vendor’s review and update, Meetings with Vendors for Clarifications.
• To commercially analyse, evaluate, recommend, negotiate and obtain internal/external approvals.
• To place Orders, Contracts & Service Orders in best interest of company according to company’s Materials Manual keeping in view governmental regulations issued from time to time through different notifications.
• Make payments via different modes i.e. Advance, Letter of Credit, Net 30 days e.t.c • Co-ordination with Banks for the establishing Letter of Credits and related jobs. Deal with L/C amendments & discrepancies.
• Verifying and processing invoices for payment.
• Effective expedition and Co-ordination with end users and vendors for timely shipments.
• Review of Bill of Entries to ensure correct valuation by the Clearing Agents by reviewing Harmonised Custom Tariff Coding to minimise the Companies liabilities.
• Managing Transhipments/Custom Clearance keeping close contacts with the Shipping Clearing Agents & shipping lines.
• Maintaining approved Vendors list, periodic review, and induction of new vendors.
• Planning of logistics for air and ocean shipments worldwide coming in and shipping out of Pakistan.
• Work in conjunction with local freight agents & overseas agents in bringing material into Pakistan via most economical ways.
• Ensuring timely clearance through ocean/air customs for onward despatch via overland transportation large volumes & tonnage of material.
MBA (Supply Chain Management)
