Providing expert care for critically ill clients and their dependents.
Taking brief history and other relevant data regarding patient and performing nursing physical assessment.
Assisting physician during physical examination and medical rounds.
Preparation of medical and surgical equipments and assisting the physician for some invasive procedures such as central line insertion, arterial line insertion, Umbilical Arterial and venous catheterization, peripherally inserted central line catheter, chest drainage, lumbar puncture, peritoneal dialysis.
Preparing and setting up the mechanical ventilator for patients who needs mechanical ventilator support
Safe performance of therapeutic and preventive nursing procedures such as continuing care for pre -mature babies, low birth weight and extremely low birth weight babies.
Inserting nasogastric / orogastric tube and administering internal feeding through NGT/OGT.
Administering, medication through nebulizer, IM, SC, IV and continuous INFUSION
