Legal freelancer providing contract drafting services on Fiverr and Upwork. I am a Level 1 seller on Fiverr.
I was given the opportunity of framing legal opinion, drafting legal contracts and agreements, blog writing, research work and client interaction.
1) Legal drafting work:
A) Drafting technology contracts like website terms and conditions and privacy policy, software maintenance agreement, service level agreement, and independent contractors agreement.
B) Drafting Memorandum of Understanding, the purpose of which was to review video footage of music festivals by one party and the footage was to be supplied by another party.
C) Vetting of term sheet, shareholders agreement, shareholders cum share subscription agreement, and an asset purchase agreement.
2. Legal research work:
A) Framing legal opinion on topics relating to e-pharmacy, data scraping, surrogate advertising, cryptocurrency exchanges.
B) Other types of legal research involved research on ‘Mileage Purchase agreement’ for electric bike delivery business, online gaming (real cash), the procedure for angel investment as per SEBI rules and regulations, veto powers of managing directors, and voting rights of equity holders in a company.
3. Legal writing work:
Blog writing on co-founders’ agreement, employee stock option plans (ESOPs), shareholders agreement, labor law compliances for startups, the importance of due diligence for startups, employment agreement, tax exemptions for startups, joint venture agreement, pitch deck, and articles of association.
Brief Work Profile:
It was a civil litigation internship. It mainly involved real estate-related matters. The types of cases handled include the appointment of a local commissioner, landlord-tenant cases, Insolvency matters, etc. The work involved case file reading, client interaction, departmental proceedings(did plaint amendment for a client, getting proclamation issued), case research, proofreading documents, the search of case laws and judgments of Supreme Court and High Courts. The internship involved extensive research on various civil laws and other legal aspects. I got to attend important court proceedings, hear live court arguments and debates as there were frequent court visits to Bombay High Court, City Civil Court, Small Causes Court(Bandra and Dhobi Talao), Debt Recovery Tribunal, Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
