Handling the procurement activities for manufacturing and contracts.
Responsible for handling group purchase activities for Granite mines, Bromine acid plant, SOP plant and Industrial grade salt.
Responsible Purchase & Stores functions of all Plants Viz., Mine, Acid Plant, Fertilizer Plant, Port and the Railway network with a annual outlay of 90 M USD. The procurement includes Capital procurements, Spares and Consumables and fixing Contracts for various in-house jobs, Logistics, Services, Annual maintenance Contracts, Hiring of Equipments etc.
Streamlined the Annual contracts for Freight forwarding including Air & Sea consignments. More than 80% of the materials are being received from European and US segments.
Arranged the critical heavy earth moving equipment like Bull dozers, Graders, Wheel Loaders, Cranes etc., thru’ hiring to ensure nil stoppage of the Mine & Acid plants.
Negotiated & finalised the transportation contracts for the movement of the finished products from site to port and raw materials from port to site.
Initiated Scrap disposal policy & Fixing and finalizing the scrap price based on the current and future market trends.
Negotiated the long term contract for procurement of spares & consumables like bearings, filters, tyres and Fasteners etc..
Better coordination and development with internal departments and improve their relationships to ensure customer satisfaction.
Managing team of professionals involving planning, forecasting, negotiating, and monitoring prompt delivery.
Timely planning, identifying the prompt supplier, costing, procuring the correct materials in the best price and delivering the same without any delay as per the request of our internal departments.

Introduced Annual requirement concepts for all “ M R O “ products and consumables like Bearings, Filters, Fasteners and for all Lubricants.
Identified and developed many alternate sources from Asian countries for all major procurements and thus achieved considerable cost savings of 8.20 M USD per annum.
Technical Estimation before negotiation and finalizing the party’s offers.
Achieved improved Plant availability by catering the required spares when it is actually needed.
Played a key role in finalizing outsourcing contracts.
Effectively negotiated the staggering payment terms with the Vendors for better Cash flows.
Thoroughly analyzing the expenditure curve with respect to actual Production and alarming the top management in case of crossing the Budget.
Played a key role in negotiation and finalizing the payment terms on credit basis. Highest value negotiated is 4 M USD.
Sphere heading the activities on Vendor Reconciliation.
Reviewing Monthly Reports with concerned Purchasers.
Preparing Annual Budget for procurement of materials and keeping control of expenditures.
In-charge for procurement of Spares & Consumables for a total of 7 Plants Viz., Caustic Soda, Liquid Chlorine, Tri-Chloro Ethylene, Ilmenite, Iron Oxide Plant, CPP (Capitive Power Plant) and PVC Plant (Poly Vinyl Chloride) . Purchasing value is about INR 600 Cr.
Job involves right from Enquiry floating, obtaining Offers, Technical estimation, Negotiation, Placement of Order, Follow up for material and time receipt at Site.
Handled the procurement of Tailor made Components like MS, MSRL, Lead lined, PVC/FRP, Pure FRP Tanks, Spares for Pumps, Fixing Rate Contracts, AMCs etc.,
Annual rate contracts established for Bearings, Siemens MCBs & DBs, Schneider products, Conveyor belts, Pipes, Fittings & valves, Electrical consumables like bulbs, Tube lights, spares, Wires & cables etc. with attractive discounts and on delivered basis to eliminate redundancy in purchasing
Involved in fixing Contractors for both Mechanical and Electrical jobs to be carried out inside the Plants such as re-routing of pipe lines, replacement of mechanical structures etc.,
Releasing Tenders and placing Orders for all Yearly Contract works inside the Plant (Rate Contracts).
Finalizing all AMCs for all Equipments such as Weigh bridges, Weighing Scales, Fire Extinguishers, Compressors, Air-Conditioners etc.,
Handled all projects and Plant development procurements like installation of Fan less, Fill less Cooling tower, Dual fuel (hydrogen) Burner system etc.,
Preparing Annual Budget for procurement of materials and keeping control of expenditures and submitting the MIS reports to the Management.
Worked as a Core Team member in User Acceptance Team (UAT) on customizing the “ON-LINE” Network system for “MRP” which was carried out at DCW premises by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). The package was bought from USA and customized to our need by TCS.
Handled all major Project procurements and in particular handled the entire procurement for a new 283 TPD Membrane Caustic Plant designed and commissioned by UHDE Technologies.
Involved in promoting Energy saving Equipments like Fan less Fill less Cooling Towers, Supermizers etc.,
Active member in QC, QIT activities and also served as Safety Committee member for 5 years, undertaking Safety Audits in limited intervals at the Plants to ensure safe working environment.
Having exposure to SAP R /3 MM Module.
Fixing and finalizing the scrap price based on the current market price.
I have completed my B.E. Degree course on November 2004 with 66.11%.
