Carrying out all level of preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with approved Maintenance Plans and following implemented safety rules and processes

Ensuring all maintenance activity completed is logged appropriately on the Maintenance
Management System

Following the appropriate and approved maintenance procedures and instructions to ensure
compliance with the requirements and safe system of work

• Ensuring appropriate tools and equipment are used in all works, including inspections.

• Produce and maintain accurate maintenance records of third rail & track, tools, and work
accomplished and other information using a computerized maintenance management system ( CMMS)

• Collaborating with colleagues in Operations departments effectively

• Checking the accuracy of calculations on designs, drawings, and quantities

• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications

• Communicating with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity
surveyors, and other workers involved in the project

Contacting with the local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and

by-law
Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site

• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

Determining the best combination of materials for specific purposes

Testing materials to assess how resistant they are to heat, corrosion or chemical attack

Supervising quality control throughout the construction and production process

Analysing material test data using modelling software

Writing reports for project engineers and managers

Measuring performance of various materials in accordance with specifications
