• Carrying-out research assistantship

• Mechanical design of static and rotating equipment as per relevant Codes and Standards for Oil and gas, Refinery and Petrochemicals.
• Vendor Technical Bid Evaluation/Analysis, Review of ITPs, PQR, WPS and other vendor documentation for manufacturing of Static equipment, rotating equipment, package equipment and piping as per relevant codes and standards.
• Preparing of Technical specifications, Material requisitions, Purchase requisitions for Pressure vessels, Pumps, Compressors, Heat exchangers & Storage Tanks.
• Performing strength calculations & Analysis for pressure vessels and manual calculation and using software such as PV-Elite, Compress, E-Tank.
• Thermal and Mechanical design of heat exchangers like Shell & Tube (API 660), Air cooled exchangers (API 661) & Fired Heater (API 560) by using HTRI.
• Review and understanding of the Piping Design Tender documents (PFD, P&ID, Plot Plan, Piping Plan, Equipment Layout, Isometric, Tie-In list).
• 3D modelling of equipment, piping and structures using PDMS, Preparation and review of piping design documents (P&ID, Isometrics, GA’s, Tie-ins list, Supports Details, and MTO).
• Coordination / Follow-ups with other departments for revised P&IDs, vendor drawings, Equipment Data Sheets, Layouts etc.
• Prepare man-hour and bid estimates for project and proposals.
• Participate and contribute to the design and development of piping and equipment layout.
• Preparation and checking of line list and material take off.
• Resolution/follow up with the client for all raised Technical Query and deviation request.
• Participate in the inspection of various mechanical static equipment at manufacturers workshop as per ITP.
• Conduct pre-welding checks, in-process and post welding inspections at manufacturers workshop.
• Provide final checking, approval and stamping of all design deliverables associated with equipment and piping.
• Coordinate and participate in kick-off meeting, client review meeting, 3D model review, HAZOP and interdisciplinary review meeting.
• Provide mechanical equipment and piping expertise to the Project from Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Installation & Commissioning phases.
