More than 15 years in the fields of Pipeline integrity& Corrosion monitoring with Al Furat Petroleum Company, Syria (A Joint Venture with Royal Dutch Company SHELL B.V) 2001-2012 Responsibilities handled over various tenures include:
• Supervise and direct conduct field surveys to validate the effectiveness on buried pipelines, analyses
results, recommend and follow up necessary actions.
• Conducting Soil Resistivity surveys for the below grade pipelines not protected by Cathodic Protection.
• Supervise, direct and interpret results.
• Maintain up to date survey records, databases, and reports.
• Produces the annual programme of corrosion monitoring and Cathodic Protection, ROW monitoring activities& ILI
• To Plan and implement all pipeline integrity activities relating to intelligent pigging. Prepare scope of work and liaison with contractors and site to carry out intelligent pigging runs, validations, defect assessment, co-ordinate repair programs and maintain database for defects identified and accordingly advise management on the integrity status and immediate and long term repair strategy of the pipelines.
• To review the status of pipelines.
• To provide specifications, calculations and design drawings and monitor contractors during construction phase and undertake commissioning checks prior to handover to operations.
• To select Painting systems for all process plant installations and buried pipelines.
• To plan, direct, co-ordinate and supervise the activities for, on shore steel structures, wellheads, manifolds, headers, launchers, receivers and below grade oil, gas and water oil/ water injection flow lines and pipelines.
• To improve inspection equipment s, NDT testing instruments and ensure that the specific data collected can be used to access the asset integrity and interpret/ predict the remaining life of equipment and recommend the necessary mitigation measures.
