Students to study the usability of interoperability interfaces of Widely used Electronic Medical Record Systems i.e. OpenMRS.
In my MS thesis, I have done the usability study of interoperability interfaces of an open-source EMR system named OpenMRS that uses HL7 as protocol. I have proposed sixteen new usability guidelines to evaluate interoperability interfaces of any web-based system. These guidelines are generic and can be used to evaluate interoperability interfaces of any web-based information system. I have studied a widely used Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system OpenMRS, as a case study. I have evaluated its interoperability interfaces using proposed interoperability guidelines and then based on obtained results; I have proposed common generic interfaces form EMR systems.
