1. Involved in processing of clinical samples, water samples for bacteriology and endotoxin test by lal method, Environmental sampling by settle plate method and identification of pathogens.
2. daily preparation of required Media for all branches of Almana hospital and quality control of the media.
3. Performs internal and external quality control tests as per the standard microbiology procedures.
4. Performs microbiological data recording both in soft and hard copies and relay important critical diagnostic test results to the nurse in charge after discussing with the clinical microbiologist.
Microbiological and Serological Laboratory works performed in the hospital involving Culturing and Isolation of Microorganisms from clinical samples, Microscopy and Antibiotic sensitivity tests by Kirby buyer’s method, WIDAL test to determine Salmonella antigen, VDRL for syphilis, Llatex agglutination test for Pyogenic meningitis, HIV ELISA, Immunochromatography Techniques for HBsAg, HCV, Rheumatoid Factor, dengue fever etc., Isolation of bacteriuria from UTI patients, Differential staining procedures including Gram’s staining and Acid Fast Staining, Giemsa staining. Mycological techniques including Wet mount and India ink mount, and nurturing and susceptibility testing to anti-invitefungal agents. Paracytological examination of feces.
• Handling of Continuous Sero Monitoring to assess the vaccination efficiency and immunity status. Serum samples will be collected from the animals before vaccination and on the every 30th day of vaccination till One year. The Liquid Phase Blocking ELISA Technique is involved in Sero Monitoring work. And the corresponding Results have been sending to Animal Disease Control Program and National Diary Development Board Authorities.
• Handling of routine Microbiological and Serological Laboratory work.
