CFO Function role
As a senior finance resource, I am primarily responsible for financial control function of the Group which involves financial reporting under IFRS and Local GAAP, regulatory reporting & compliance, product controlling and financial planning and analysis. My role includes extensive interactions with key internal and external stakeholders like regulators, auditors and industry peers.
I also played a key part in implementing the ‘Finance Transformation’ Strategy which involved off-shoring, IT systems implementation and redesign of overall Finance function.
Current responsibilities include:
•Review and validation of the month-end and year-end financials
•Interaction with business heads on business performance & new product launches
•Weekly and monthly MIS reporting for the senior management and EXCO
•Initiating, planning and implementing Critical-To-Business (CTB) projects
•Handling Audits
•Handling budgeting process including capital funding process plan for the business
•Advising and providing inputs to business on Basel III implications, IFRS and Local GAAP implications, SBL GBL exposure management, priority sector lending target and utilization, RWA utilizations and reductions, balance sheet management.
•Manage costs and deliver Group’s strategic agenda.

Responsibilities included: • Managing FX, Credit, Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives product P&L
• Review of P&L generated by new deals, deal amendments and cancellations
• Providing commentary on key drivers including buy and hold attribution
• Validation of P&L and valuation adjustments (e.g. reserves, deal mark-ups/downs)
• Approve the P&L with dealers estimates (within an agreed tolerance)
• Review of daily PV 01 risk and VAR reports
• Review of any deal greater than EUR 250000 individually and reported as a significant deal
• Reviewing market conformity checks
• Review of valuation reports for any significant deviations
• Reviewing control breaks reports
