Revamped and streamlined the Treasury PNLs production across EMEA and US regions bringing down the processing time of 8 PNLs to 1 hour per PNL from the erstwhile 4 hours on a daily basis with appropriate controls. Perform monthly analysis of the desk moves and present to senior management as part of monthly business reviews and help Financial Control with business commentaries.
This role helped me gain good understanding/working knowledge of treasury buffer management, hedging the risks through various derivative products viz, IRS, TRS, CDS etc, funding/liquidity management strategies, money market portfolio in the form of CP/CDs, Repo financing etc aided by the constant interactions with business and traders.
Handle the IFRS reporting of the trades booked in the desk for month end and quarter end reporting. Achieved a reduction of close to ~10hrs monthly relating to the books close process by actively automating/streamlining variousjournals.
Head a team of 6 analysts and actively involved in training them on thejob.
Run the Learning & Development (L&D) pillar for the Treasury division which involves conducting academic sessions, writing a weekly treasury newsletter on macro matters as well as doing process level walkthroughs.
Received recognition from the MD for stabilizing the team, solving a legacy system issue relating to SOFR CDs accrual with a PNL impact of ~$15mn and bringing process improvements through automating various controls like FOBO recs, cash recs etc as part of multiple working groups.
