In this job role, I undertook many different positions, as my superiors saw my ability to grasp instructions and complete tasks in a sharp, swift manner. I initially started as a Loan Advisor, where my role was to source out loans for my clients who had previously been turned down from mainstream lenders. I completed their applications and went through their financial history with a fine tooth comb to tailor make them a loan that suited them entirely.
After five months of being a loan advisor, my managers wanted me to move and become part of the customer care team. This entailed me to deal with the customer who no longer wanted or needed the service, and also for clients who were not happy with the service they had received. This was a challenging role as I was dealing with clients who were somewhat unhappy and in some cases angry. I dealt with these types of customers in a polite, professional manner. After three weeks of working as the care advisor, I was offered the role of managing the care team which consisted of six people, as well as dealing with my own work load.
As part of this job I was also given training by Baines & Ernst, who are an award winning financial advisor. The training helped us to recognise people who were in debt and to offer them a solution that met their needs rather than their wants.
Work Experience
Innocence Project - 2012
This was an exceptional pro bono opportunity that I was privileged to uphold via Sheffield Hallam University. The Innocence Network is litigation and public policy organised to exonerate wrongfully convicted individuals. I worked with the team in Sheffield to research errors of justice to help find evidence to contribute towards the appeals process for people who may not have access to legal aid.
Sheffield County Court - 2012
I visited the County Court in Sheffield for a day where I was able to shadow a barrister. The barrister brought her clients in and had the case reviewed. I was guided into how to deal with a big case load and was taught many different skills such a case management and confidentiality guidelines. These skills are important and transferable to any job.
ADR Group Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator - 2012
I am a Civil and Commercial mediator, trained and qualified by the ADR Group and am also recognised by the Law Society and the Bar Council. As a mediator I am responsible for resolving disputes, and professionally advising companies and individuals who would like to resolve their disputes outside of court. It is a fast paced and challenging environment, one I feel that I am suited for and am passionate about.
Personal Statement
I am a hardworking and committed individual who shows great enthusiasm and vigour in all that I do. I have an attention for detail and strive to be perfect in my tasks. Having said that, there is always room for improvement and progression, and I feel that every experience holds a valuable lesson. I am always learning and with that am growing in maturity and confidence. I work well in a team, asitisa great part of education and socialisation, on the other hand I can work equally as well individually.
I am a goal orientated young woman, who is very career driven and is trying to achieve excellence in all that I do. I am articulate, positive and enthusiastic, and hopefully a great asset to my future employer.

This is a family run business that has been established for over 30 years. My role was to greet customers who entered the shop, control stock management, cash and card processing amongst many other responsibilities. I have learnt an exceptional amount in regards to dealing with customers and working within a busy team, and feel that through this my communication skills have been strengthened. The role required a positive, customer friendly approach, one I felt I adhered to with all my vigour.
MRH Solicitors - 2007
My role at the firm was temporary as it was part of a college work experience scheme. My role was to assist the solicitor in a small but growing legal environment. I organised the office, managed files and ensured the smooth running of the solicitor's day. I handled calls and emails and ensured everything was organised to an exceptionally high standard.
Bolton Magistrates Court - 2006
I was given the opportunity to work at the courts for a week where I shadowed a clerk and a county court judge and was given the chance to see first-hand how things are presented in courts. This really opened my eyes in how the court system worked and was a great insight into acquiring the professionalism needed to become a lawyer.
