Checking of report data and Initializing them (manually/electronic) and Maintaining records of
patient data.
HEMATOLOGY
Does Complete Blood Count, Bleeding Time, Prothrombin Time and other Hematologist procedures
(Reticulocyte Count, Platelet Count, E.S.R., Blood Film Examination for Morphology and RBC Abnormities,
Malarial Smears, L.E. Prep., etc.) Using Sysmex XN1000, BECKMAN COULTER LH 780.
CLINICAL CHEMISTRY
Does Clinical Blood Chemistry such as Blood Glucose (Fasting, Random, Post Prandial, Oral
Glucose Tolerance Test), Lipid Profile, Electrolytes, Enzymes, Proteins and Renal Function Test (Non-
Protein Nitrogen) BECKMAN COULTER AU 480, ARCHITECT PLUS CI 4100, does instrumentation include
Calibration and Quality Control Program.
CLINICAL MICROSCOPY
Does routine urinalysis (physical appearance such as color and transparency, chemical such as glucose,
Protein pH, specific gravity and Microscopic examination), does other test in urine such as Ketone,
Bence Jones Proteins, bile, pregnancy test (HCG), does calculi analysis (Urinary and Biliary) physical
Examination such as color, size, shape, consistency, texture and chemical examination using different
Reagents, does other Body Fluid Analysis such as CSF, Synovial Fluid, Exudates and Transudates, Semen
Analysis, (Physical Test - color, transparency chemical test and microscopic test.
▪ BACTERIOLOGY
Does Gram staining, Acid Fast Bacilli staining and culture and Sensitivity of the different body fluids and
Discharge, does streaking of specimen on media. Does identification of microorganism using
Morphological and cultural characteristics, does different Biochemical test and confirmation test, does
Susceptibility testing, prepares media and both for aerobic and anaerobic microorganism.
MISCELLANEOUS
Receives written requisitions from physician’s routine or specimen laboratory test. Sets up and adjust
Laboratory equipment and apparatus such as glass wares, analytical balance, microscope, slides and
Reagents. Obtain laboratory specimens such as blood, urine, sputum and other body fluids from wards or
directly from patients using established laboratory techniques. Post test findings to laboratory forms and
record files.
