Monitoring and supervising all the activities related to underground excavation in TBM tunneling section of project
Monitor the daily progress of work with the reference of approved work schedule
Construction Supervision and monitoring of concrete Lining in Headrace tunnel with the telescoping shutter, as per specification and design
Construction Supervision of roller compacted concrete (R.C.C) in adit, as per specification and design
Supervision of rock support according to rock class and support design at L1, L2, Invert and different rock prediction techniques like probe drilling and Tunnel seismic tomography(TST)
To ensure that all construction material being consumed and work being executed is according to plans, specification, drawings/designs, according to internationally practiced standards and according to the designer’s requirements
Suggesting the additional rock support i.e. Expansion shell, Swellex bolts, Wire mesh, UPN, TH beams at L1 and L2 according to the rock condition keeping in view the freshly exposed surface behind the shield area.
Preparation of electronic TBM reports for different sections of TBM like L1, L2, and Invert. Prepare shift reports for the comparison of actual progress with the baseline program and calculation for the utilization of TBM. Preparation of daily and monthly progress summary for TBM which is used to update the statics for TBM support.
Supervision of shotcrete lining in-situ coring, bond test, and crack survey, identification of voids behind shotcrete and NDT for strength of shotcrete with Schmitt rebound hammer.
Monitoring tunnel stability & Inspecting Safety Measures in the tunnels as per different tunnel monitoring systems i.e Convergence meter and Extensometer
Reviews of the support dwg for L1, L2 and Invert submitted from the contractor.
Attend the daily TBM meeting with the contractor regarding the TBM progress and issues encountered at the site.
Coordination with the CRE, RE and ARE regarding the management and technical issues at the site. Coordinate various subcontractors to ensure work runs smoothly.
Review the shop drawings and method statements submitted by the contractor
Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
as an internee engineer
