Heading IT infrastructure and Operations of all Govt departments of Punjab Govt. including Systems, Network, Databases, Datacenters.,
Operations Management: Day to day service operations using best practices and frameworks (ITIL, MoF)to manage incident, problem, change, security, continuity, configuration and capacity management;
• Availability Management: Implement policies and processes to ensure systems and Data Center uptime, availability, reliability and maintainability in line with agreed SLA’s;
• Develop, implement, maintain and periodically test Data Center Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans;
• Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement plans to continuously improve operational efficiencies and effectiveness, quality assurance procedures documentation, tools and processes;
• Policies and procedures: Develop and implement detailed operational procedures required to run data center operations in the mission critical environment;
• Tracking and reporting: Develop and report on critical IT operations service metrics;
• Meetings and reviews: SLA meetings and reviews with staff and internal customers;
• Capacity Planning: Design and implement tactical plans to ensure DC capacity meets demands for current and future demand;
• Procurement: Prepare RFP’s, bid proposals, contracts, Statements of Work and other documentation for DC complex tasks and projects;
• R&D: Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all DC efforts;
• Recruitment: Supervise recruitment, development, retention and organization of Data Center engineers in accordance with IT budgetary objectives and corporate personnel policies;
• Coaching and training of Data Center staff.
Heading IT Infrastructure and Operations of PTCL nationwide for all IT infrastructure and IT support.
Implementation, Managing NSRC site for all administrative and IT issues.
