Working on consignment and fixed pricing contracts for hardware & consumables.
Implementing KANABAN system for fast moving hardware used in the aircraft heavy maintenance.
Implementing Barcoding and RFID in the warehousing for proper tracking of material.

Delivered above 99 % material availability for critical ( No Go) parts.
Reduced the number of AOG orders by 20%, through improved long term material planning strategy.
Reviewed the current policies and procedure and amended to streamline the processes.
Participated in the initial spares provisioning of the new fleet of B787 and A380 with the Entry into Service team to ensure material availability and readiness before aircraft entry into service.
Reduced the cabin defect per aircraft due to material shortages by 50%.
Established a plan for proper material replenishment for all heavy maintenance and aircraft reconfiguration.
Established a cost reduction program for cabin parts through the use of consignment stock and PMA parts.
Overseeing the purchasing and logistics function within the MRO
Provide material and logistics support for four main customers and over forty aircraft (A320, E190, A340, GIV, G300, Hawker, Cessna etc….)
Since I started with the company, I have launched a very aggressive improvement plan for the Material Department to help the MRO achieve it's objective of becoming a profitable and a leading MRO In the Region
Conducted a complete review of the Material Department and submitted a full report to the CEO which highlighted the main findings and recommendation for improvement.
Restructured the department to stream line the operation and segregate the duties between purchasing and logistics
Conducted a complete inventory review and clean up of the ERP system (TRAX)
Put in place a replenishment plan which reduced the number of AOG orders by more than 50%
Reviewed the suppliers approval system and compiled the suppliers approved list in cooperation with QA
Helped in establishing the warranty and claim section and hired two engineers for this purpose
Strengthened the material team with experienced purchasing and logistics professionals
Wataniya Airways-Kuwait
Wataniya Airways is a new Kuwaiti premium airline with a fleet of seven Airbus A320 aircraft.
Major achievements:
Played an instrumental part in the airline startup, I was one of the first fifteen people in the company and now we are over 400 people.
Established and published the company’s purchasing policy and procedures.
Established a contract repository and a monitoring system within the purchasing department.
Recruited buyers and logistics personal to support the launch of the airline.
Established the company’s stores from A to Z.
Put in place agreements with freight forwarders and couriers to support the influx of goods in time for the airline’s launch date.
Negotiated together with concerned departments over 150 contracts in all areas of the business such as but not limited to aircraft maintenance, full engineering support, aircraft component pool agreement, engine maintenance, engine lease, catering equipment, cabin amenities, aircraft BFE, company’s uniform, IT systems, Medical Insurance, aircraft ground handling, car rentals, baggage handling system, office rental, cabin crew accommodations, office supplies, furniture etc..
Headed the aircraft delivery team and managed the delivery process at Airbus without major problems or set backs
Championed the implementation of Purchasing and Inventory Oracle ERP system
Participated in preparing the company’s budget and helped other department to prepare their budget
Reduced the initial cost of the company’s uniform by 50%
Reduce the cost of ground handling at one of our major outstation by more than 40%
Currently introducing e-procurement system to be integrated with Oracle ERP system
