Currently working with save the children as a field security officer for distribution HUBs.
KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
• Conduct and update Security Assessments of field areas, organization premises.
• Conduct vehicle tracking and maintain proper Vehicle tracking record of all our Staff.
• Write daily Safety and Security SITREPs/reports and keeping the incident database updated all the time.
• Check and guide security guards in performing their duties, deployed at organization premises (offices, warehouse, staff house etc)
• Keep posted Field Management and all Staff in Field from time to time of changing safety and security situation all over country (incidents).
• Update Emergency Contact Details and Emergency Contact Tree/First Responders on a regular basis.
• Ensure the issuance of Security ID cards to all staff.
• Orient staff and Guards on evacuation plans, drills and procedures regarding emergencies.
• Report and follow-up an incidents when it is being reported with providing support to effected staff members.
• Upkeep and maintain all Fire fighting equipments and emergency exit safety measures.
• Keep posted the Safety and Security Manager/Coordinator from time to time of changing security situation / bomb blasts / protests / demonstrations taking place in Country/ accidents / incidents / etc.
• Manage CCTV monitoring and keep it in functional status.
• Patrol and inspect property/office to protect against fire, theft, vandalism, terrorism, and illegal activity.
• Up-keep the SOPs(Standard Operating Procedures)
• Update and maintain security plan/annexes on a regular basis.
• Orient staff and Guards on evacuation plans, drills and procedures regarding emergencies.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES,
To manage and provide effective leadership to the security team and ensure that:-
Resources are appropriately and efficiently allocated to key areas of work and that priorities are always covered adequately
All physical security to all on site customers is delivered within the company corporate security policy
All training needs are identified and processed promptly and are undertaken at the appreciate time
All requests for annual and flexi leave are managed and controlled, ensuring that there is adequate cover to maintain services at all times
Performance and attendance issues are addressed at the correct time, in accordance with the company policies and procedures
To maintain the security operations manual up to date for use by all on site security personnel to cover duties, individual instructions for each post; attendance;use of security equipment; dress standard; training etc
To assist the Director Operations in implementing security as a cover business function to be adopted by the hole office, keeping physical security measures under constant review to ensure they are adequate to meet current threats to business, evaluate changes, showing advantages and disadvantages, costs act and present to the director security operation

Programme Support Unit - Security
* Assessment of local security conditions, including modalities for reporting information and liaison with local authorities.
* Prepare, operational and implementing (IRC) district security plan in accordance with the guidelines contained in the IRC Field Security Handbook.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Shall undertake tasks aimed at maximizing the security of IRC premises at the duty station.
• To keep DM/Security manager updated about any arising situation which has bearing on staff safety & security, IRC assets and to seek timely support & guidance for appropriate measures. In addition keep all staff apprised of security updates.
• Provide assistance in the conduct and follow up of investigation and reports on the security related incidents affecting IRC staff and IRC offices and maintain an accurate and detailed record of all security incidents occurring in the office.
• Maintain close contact and liaise with all potential actors including host government agencies, International None Governmental Organization, None Governmental Organizations among others to obtain the latest information regarding the security situation in the district and advise the DM/Security manager on latest trends and threats to staff safety and security.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Security coordinator/manager Security Advisors.
