• Receive all the WFP food and non-food commodities;
• Report on the quality, quantity of the received commodities and ensure that quantities dispatched as per consignor’s documents match with quantities received and endorse documents;
• Maintain clean and pest-free storing conditions;
• Ensure good warehousing practices;
• Supervise the offloading and stacking of the commodities, follow up tracking of the commodities in pipeline and report the same to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain records and/or ensure that assistants assigned to the various stores keep records of the food stuff offloaded/loaded at the warehouses, adhering to the WFP systems;
• Control incoming goods both food and non-food commodities by such methods as physical counts, random weight checks, rejection of any spoiled commodity, reconditioning of underweight bags, etc.;
• Deliver goods on request against official and approved documentation;
• Keep updated records on stack cards, and/or computer inventory lists;
• Make periodic physical inventory checks;
• Monitor the WFP stocks against expiry dates and maintain climate control stores for nutritious commodities,
• Monitor the de-stuffing operation of containers of food and non-food items and make proper de-stuffing report with details of quality and quantity of cargo before signing the waybill and releasing the containers/trucks to the transport contractor;
• Understand the handling and proper storage/dispatch of Non-Food Items (NFIs) as per the packing list and specification in identical and appropriate manner;
• Liaise with field monitors and others on matters pertaining to logistics;
• Report on and, in consultation with others, take appropriate action for the disposal of spoilt commodities;
• Provide overall supervision and training to other storekeepers and casual labor;
• Check and record the quality and quantity of all the food and non- food items at the time of receipts and issues.
• Proper Storage of Commodities in the warehouses according to the standard rules of UN-WFP.
• Checking and reporting the condition of incoming wheat in various flour mills to the Quality Control Officer.
• Preparing the Daily Stock/Movement Report in computer
• PERFORM ANY OTHER DUTY ASSIGNED BY THE SUPERVISOR
• Worked at refugee camps during emergency operation.
• Checking the quality and quantity of wheat flour during loading and production time in the flourmills.
• Maintain Stack cards on stacks.
• Supervised the during EMOP (Emergency Operation Program).
• Supervising the loading and offloading of Food and Non-Food
Commodities.
• Scheduling Cargo Movement plans for the transporters to deliver the required items to desired locations.
• Scrutiny of Financial invoices from Logistics in collaboration with Finance section (i.e. Transport wages, Repacking wages etc).
• Dispatching, Receiving, Handling and Storage with standard record keeping of UN Inter-Agencies Commodities.
• Entering and extracting different documents such as, receiving and dispatch waybills, landsides transport Instruction (LTI) etc. from the Logistics database COMPAS.
• Maintaining the physical inventory of food and non-food items on weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis.
