Roles & Responsibility

• Lead by example and continuously propose improvements to the project HSE System.
• Ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the H&S Plan, the Environment Plan, the WMS & relevant HSE legislation. Report and investigate all near misses, incidents, accidents and identify the root cause and take necessary steps to eliminate dangers and recurrence.
• Conducting safety inductions & training as per schedule to the workers and staff.
• Coordinate with Construction Team about the safety observation logs which are taken in the safety site inspection to make sure they will implement it in the site.
• Recognise unsafe conditions and intervene with construction supervision staff to rectify the situation.
• Coordinate the safety activities between the Sub-Contractor & client etc
• Carrying out examination of machinery, work environments and taking measurements of noise, heat and vibration and taking photographs and samples as deemed necessary.
• Initiate and conduct emergency evacuation drills on monthly basis with safety manager/ Line manager’s support and preparing reports.
• Prepare daily observation reports and reporting accident, incident and near-miss reports.
• Participate in weekly walking-through inspections and safety audit and preparing reports.
• H&S inspections such as Conduct Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Safety Meeting, conduct Daily Safety Inspection for all Locations, Tool Box Meetings and Safety briefings.
• Implement and promote Health, Safety, and Environmental Awareness and standard procedures.
• Ensure that everyone follows safety procedure for specific jobs and to build safe working environment.
• Prepare and maintain safety documents, records & reports as per company safety manual.
• Enlighten the hazard at each site and to educate every individual safety step required for different jobs for e.g. fire prevention, heavy lifting, excavation, confined space & Work at height, Scaffolding, Welding, Gas cutting, Grinding & Electrical safety etc.
• Act as an observer being carried out on-site and advise the supervisors and the workforce where risks are apparent.
• Reporting to HSE Manager and managing team of HSE staff, male nurses, and Clinic facility.
• Report to the Project manager/ construction managers regarding day-to-day inspection and tour.
• To investigate all Accidents, incidents, and near misses to find out the root causes and suggest cost-effective control and prepare a report to submit HSE corp. Manager.
• Lead & Coordinate with the HSE Officers on the site and distribute the tasks according to the site needs.
• Coordinate with Subcontractors and ensure that they are inducted and implement our safety regulations.
• Provide information (Alerts and Advisories) on possible hazards and precautions to be taken to site safety team and Project Manager
