Budget preparation to meet the business plan, in terms of output, manpower, scrap %, manpower productivity, manpower level, consumables, capital expenditures, dies purchases, training programs, .etc.

Lead and manage the planning department to optimize the plant performance.

A daily production/maintenance meeting to ensure being on line with daily plans & overcome any unforeseen obstacles.

Quarterly review meeting through which KPIs achieved are bench marked with targets set in the business plan & action plans to divert any shortfalls-if any- & present all results to the management.

Lead the safety & environment department to ensure compliance with municipality regulation & labour law.

Carry in house training for the key employees through knowledge transfer &
sharing know how.

Review customer complaints at regular times, for root cause analysis & action plans to eliminate & overcome the cause of the failure.

Lead different teams for loss elimination program, cost savings throughout all production cycles.

Yearly appraisal for employees & assessing different training needs.

• Oversee key projects including erecting new production line and expanding existing ones.
• Reviews and analyzes proposals submitted to determine if benefits derived and possible applications justify expenditures.
• Approves and submits proposals considered feasible to management for consideration and allocation of funds or allocates fuds from department budget.
• Working with the manufacturing, operations and quality manager to review and monitor quality and process improvements and new products development.
• Planning daily maintenance operations and budgets.
• Delivering planned and property maintenance.
• Managing a team of multi-national and multi-discipline maintenance technicians.
• Designing maintenance programs.
• Develop and implement continuous improvement plans (A3 strategy) to guarantee continuous improvement in the company image and market share.
• Develop and apply best practices to ensure maximum possible utilization the available resources and minimum possible waste.
• Enforce obedience to safety regulations. Review safety manuals and conduct monthly safety audits.

Marine Engineer, Vela international marine ltd, Dubai www.vela.ae, Dec 2007 to Jan 2013. Responsibilities includes:
• Operation and maintenance of high speed centrifugal purifiers.
• Design and oversee testing, installation and repair of marine equipment.
• Conduct analytical, environmental, operational and performance studies on various main propulsion systems.
• Evaluate operation of marine equipment during acceptance testing and shakedown cruieses.
• Investigate and observe tests on machinery and equipment for compliance with standards.
• Maintain and coordinate repair of marine machinery and equipment for installation onboard ships.
• Inspect marine equipment and machinery in order to draw up work requests and job specifications.
• Prepare technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel.
• Maintain contact with, and formulate reports for, contractors and clients in order to ensure completion of work while taking time and cost into consideration.
• Procure materials needed to repair marine equipment and machinery.
• Check, test, and maintain automatic controls and alarm systems.
• Perform monitoring activities in order to ensure that ships comply with international regulations and standards for life saving equipment and pollution preventatives.
• Schedule machine overhauls and the servicing of electrical, heating, ventilation, refrigeration, water and sewage systems.
• Supervise other engineers and crewmembers, and train them for routine and emergency duties.
