Phosphate project in Saudi Arabia in Umm Wu'al in the Northern Province. Overseeing
all communications for Process & Business networks from a PMT role. This includes
Auxiliary systems such as CCTV & Security, PA, Voice & Data. The Process Network and
commissioning & other systems such as re alarms. Assuring Maaden Corporate
policies and best industry practices are implemented and the design is correct from
the WAN & LAN networks. Managing vendor/EPC meetings for each system. Leasing
with EPC contractor and client to ensure the standard of works meets the codes.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing of the corporate specifications and the project FEED Specifications
Liaising with the EPC Contractors to review the Detail design and assure the EPC
Contractor is compliant with the Corporate and Project FEED Specifications.
Providing assistance with RFIIs (Request for Information Interface) this is a technical
query between 2 EPC contractors on the same project.
Squad Checks to review on the POL Project on Line, A squad check is a review of an
EPC Contractors specification or detailed drawings and solutions.
Reviewing the BOM for the Standard Framework Agreement assuring the supplier
is compliant to the corporate requirements and understands the client’s needs and
solutions for integration and future proofing the systems.
Chairing project meetings on the Auxiliary systems for the PMC Team with the PMT
Teams and the EPC Contractors. Reviewing progress and addressing issues.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager of the PMC/Client Team on a weekly basis
and monthly basis.
Systems being overseen are Data/IP Telephony/Hotline Telephone
Systems/IPVPS/CCTV Process and ISS/ ACS/ Plant Radio Systems.
Commissioning:
Working with the client to implement the ITPs and developing the procedures for
Site
Acceptance Tests (SAT) and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
Liaising with the EPC contractors to carry out punch-list checks and witnessing
functional tests for hand over to the client.
Working with the EPCs to assure the ITPs, mechanical completion and practical
completion certi cates are compliant. Witness the warranty checks; assure spares
and commissioning contracts are compliant with the client’s scope of works
requirements.
