• Agree and control Area and branch business and marketing plans, revenue and expense budget targets, incorporating sales targets into branch plans and monitor achievement against these.
• Monitor Regional revenue and expense targets and manage programmes to control expense and risk.
• Initiate research into new and improved products and services in support of product and customer mix in line with Bank’s segmentation targets and implement central sales and marketing initiatives.
• Accompany Branch Managers on joint calls to high net worth customers and prospects with an aim to build long term professional relationships.
• Monitor customer satisfaction levels and complaints and recommend courses of action to improve on these.
• Identify and recommend ways in which Branch Managers can free up more time for selling and business development, and for Branch Operations Managers to improve productivity and service quality.
• Conduct regular visits and reviews of Area and branch performance, management practices, adherence to procedures, customer service and staff quality, identify variances and provide feedback and initiate any follow up corrective actions .
• Establish a sales and service culture within the branches and assist with sales training.
• Oversee the development and implementation of group/Area activities, coordinate with other Bank departments.
• Make suggestions for new branches, branch relocations, or branch refurbishment to Regional Manager.
• Monitor service quality levels and staff satisfaction and seek to improve.
• Improve team member’s performance through coaching, training and providing opportunities for development.
• Resolve on an informal and formal basis grievance and disciplinary matters.
• Interview and select branch staff and organize any transfer between branches.
