Responsible for review and approval of contractor’s quality documents and Quality personals as per Aramco Quality Requirement (Schedule Q).
Review and approval of Material handling and preservation Procedures, Inspection and test plans, Inspection check lists for various activities, Welding procedures and welder qualifications, Hydro test procedures, Painting and insulation procedures etc.
Measurement, Analysis and improvement of Contractor’s quality control activities by monitoring two weekly look ahead schedule submitted by Contractor for their planned quality activities.
Responsible for issuance and control of Non conformances (if any) during material receiving/ installation.
Responsible for monitoring and inspection of daily RFIs as per standards and specifications.
Material receiving inspection and review of material test certificates.
Static Equipment’s Final box up inspection, Pump installation and final shaft alignment inspections
Flange parallelism inspection of piping connections with rotating equipment.
Fit-up and welding inspection for piping and tanks.
Internal cleanliness inspection of piping spools before installation
Gasket installation and bolt torqueing inspection of flanged joints
Installation inspection of orifice flanges as per the required specifications.
Piping supports fabrication and installation inspection
Hydro test inspection of above ground, underground piping systems and tanks as per applicable standard.
Lay-up and Reinstatement inspection activities for piping and tanks
Positive Material Identification Inspection of Stainless steel materials and welds.
Surface preparation, primer and final coat paint inspection as per applicable YASREF standards.
Holiday testing inspection of final paint coat for tanks.
Review and approval of piping test packages submitted by EPC contractor.
Surveillance of contractors construction activities and giving feedback to YASREF management
through weekly reports and recording any violation of contractor through LBEs(Log Book Entries)
Monitoring contractors compliance with SATIP(Saudi Aramco Test and inspection plans) and compliance of activities with SAIC(Saudi Aramco inspection check lists)
Interacted with customers like Aramco and SABIC for manufacturing projects. Developed Inspection and test plans and inspection procedures as per international codes, customer’s standards and specification for assigned projects and represented in Pre-Inspection Meetings to explain and ensure compliance with approved procedures and ITPs.
Operated as a center point from quality department for communication between Design, Procurement, Project planning department, execution department, customer, Third party inspectors and ASME inspectors to resolve quality related issues
Worked as a team leader of mechanical and welding inspectors for control of stage inspection activities for manufacturing of pressure vessels and heat exchanges and trained the inspection crew to demonstrate their day to day duties.
Establishing, maintaining, implementing and improving Quality Management System.
Checking for consistency with P & ID, Piping Plan and Isometric Drawing as size, rating and material.
Responsible for the spool marking and welds marking.
Preparation of procedures, method statements and Quality Inspection Plans.
Review Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) & Procedure Qualification Record (PQR).
Preparation of WQT and monitoring Test Results by DT & NDT as per ASME SEC. IX.
Control of welding material (Electrode, Filler Wire) backing of Low Hydrogen Electrode.
Monitor welder performance and welding activities to ensure work is being carried out in accordance with the approved welding procedure and Reviewing NDT, PWHT & Hardness Reports.
Receiving material inspection, preservation and storage of CS & SS material
Inspection of Piping fabrication and erection according to client’s specification and Codes.
Responsible for fit-up inspection, valves, Instrument installation & workmanship of Piping fabrication & erection.
Preparation, coordination & participation in site audit schedule.
Preparation and monitoring of piping punch list through walk down of piping circuit against Test Packs and then verification of the above prior to Hydro-testing.
Verification of Inspection summaries against each test packs piping circuit.
Attended University Of Engineering & Technology Lahore to complete 4 years engineering course for mechanical.
