Senior HSE Manager Oman Airports Management Company responsible for HSE in Oman Airports. This covers all airports in Oman also involve in assisting in many jobs related to engineering and customer service. As the new airports is nearly completed my experience in engineering, maintenance, and management is outsized. As I become known in safety, lately I have been asked to do many presentations in many conference and universities in Oman. Just recently developed BCP manual, helped in developing the company strategy and vision, also I have taken the role of GM Security in the company which include aviation and physical security in the company. For the last two years a road map for the company has been developed in term of Health, Safety and Environment. This started with the development of the theme of the department which is to be Beyond Compliance in term of following all the rules and regulations. As airports is a regulator business in term of safety, so an annual plan was developed with references to all laws developed with reference to national and international regulations. This was followed with vision on mission of the department driven from the company vison and mission. With this in mind a road map was drawn to form an annual plan for the airport in all the three fields which include Safety, health, and Environment. KPI (key Performance Indicators) was made for the department and for each person the department. This will give us the tools to monitor and build a strong HSE culture in the department and eventually to the staff. Staff Participation was one of the KPI to be measured, so HSE coordinators were introduced with incentive in term of rewards and training which it is believed to be very positive in building strong safety culture in the near future. The fruits of this method is soon is expected which will be measured in term of statics of number of reported incidents and accidents and employees satisfaction which is done annually.
