* Ensures that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in
accordance with approved procedures.
* Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure
current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
* To undertake QC functions in the workplace for daily QC activities.
* To conduct inspection of raw materials, bought out items and review of material test
certificates (MTC) and the specification requirements.
* To interface and coordinate with clients for QC matters and coordinate with 3rd
party inspection agencies for all related inspection activities.
* To have a proactive approach in problem solving.
* To check and monitor the quality of work executed on site as per approved shop
drawings.
* To coordinate with the clients and subcontractors for carrying out field compaction
test on soil, cube tests and slump tests on concrete and the various third party tests
on soil and concrete.
* To conduct pre concrete inspections and ensure that the formwork, rebar’s and the
concrete placing are in accordance with the approved drawings and international
standards such as ACI.
* Preparing bar bending schedules and executing the civil works as per the latest
issued construction drawings.
* Daily, weekly & monthly reporting for work progress, attending progress &
technical meetings.
* Regular visits to project site and issue site Instruction (SI) if required, to ensure that
the quality of work is in compliance with contract requirements, good & safe
construction practice and if the approved materials are used, in compliance with
shop-drawing.
Site Engineer-
* Execute the site work as per approved drawings.
* Making all arrangements necessary for performing jobs like ordering for required
materials, equipment or labors.
* To handle all the workers & site and get all the above mentioned work done
properly in time with accuracy & get it checked by the superior authorities.
* Checking workmanship & giving necessary instructions to Foremen, labours &
solving different problems arising during the work.
* Understand the detailed engineering drawings and specifications to ensure site
works are carried out accordingly.
* Co-ordinate with site foremen for the proper execution of civil works such as
excavation, carpentry, bar bending/fixing, concreting and all types finishing and
